Look at the video. Gapare is an incredible athlete and an improving basketball player. He might be a terrific player as soon as next year. Just like the African players who grow up playing soccer and convert only when they get to the US, this guy's from New Zealand, not exactly a world hotbed for hoops. He's a good pickup, almost as good as Westry and Starling in his own way.Not sure a 3/2 guy from the A10 is a big addition
If you say so, I have watched the tape, he is clearly athletic but he is also playing some pretty bad competition. I think he will struggle mightily against athletes at his level.Look at the video. Yeah I wanted him to commit last year out of HS, especially since we were still 100% zone for the foreseeable future at that time.Look at the video. When we were first started recruiting Tafarea and I looked at his tapes, I thought that he was a can’t miss star. Fast forward, 3-4 years, I was incorrect he missed. He's gotten better every season and is probably an average P4 player at this point, but it'd be tough to get a top season from him. He fouls a lot. Makes it hard for him to play.
He showed some incredible flashes back then and was still just learning how to play if I remember right. For every Giannis there's a million guys that don't even come close to Bruno Caboclo. When we were first started recruiting Tafarea and I looked at his tapes, I thought that he was a can’t miss star.
