Class of 2023 PF Tasman Goodrick (Australia) TRANSFERING TO SYRACUSE (4/8/26)

If we’re gonna load up on guys from a 3rd place MAAC team, we’d better be adding some studs as starters.
Well, I wouldn't think the Siena guys aren't using up a lot of NIL.

I am with everyone else, we need depth, and guys like this are great for it. My questions is, however, are these players coming to an ACC school to sit? We all love Gerry, but is he that likeable for players come to Syracuse and sit instead of going somewhere else to play?
Get paid better here as a backup than Siena as a starter and you’re in the power 5. Doty might start. Folefac is a backup 4. This guy is a backup 5. Moesch a backup point.

I’m guessing in Goodrick’s case, he has one (?) year of eligibility left, he isn’t going to the NBA, he will probably make more NIL being 11th-12th man at Cuse than he would a starter at Siena. Then take those earnings and head off to Europe/Australia and play professionally. As for Folefec and Moesch, I’m imaging they figure they can carve out a role in the next year or two. As they should, being that they are young and talented. Will they be good enough to be starters down the road on a top 25 team…I hope we find that out.

Guess which one is the GTown fan. 😂

Just food for thought. The less you need to spend on backups, the more money you save for high-impact players.

Syracuse usually has 12-13 scholarship players. GMAC is starting with 2. It would be difficult to fill a roster with what players are asking on the open market. Also, not many big names have announced yet.
I just hope that is what is happening.

People have gotta stop talking In absolutes and I mean that on both sides of the coin.

Theres not a single reason anyone should be outraged about this move, especially if sadiq is returning.

I would bet Goodrick can get another year. He can get a medical redshirt for only playing 9 games due to injury.

This is a surprise. He only played a third of the season until he got injured and then Folefac took his place at the 5 spot. But he moves well, he has some good size, some range and a very good all around player.

I believe he transfered from Gannon and they were in the D2 finals this year, but not sure how they did in it. But Gannon is a legit program.

Gannon got smoked [watched the game on Saturday].

But still, they made it to the championship.

At least someone understands the nuisance created by NIL + Rev share, why are the top 35 or 40 programs in the country going to continue to get better?

Look most people, those who know nothing, don’t put into stock what going against better competition does on a daily basis. Plus it’s more than just the competition.

Tasman landing on the roster does not fit some people’s agenda but it’s not their agenda that matters. Those people are the same ones on a long car ride who keep asking are we there yet instead of enjoying the ride.

People are freaking crazy.

You really think GMAC, who played big time hoops and spent most of his career coaching in the ACC, doesn’t know what talent he needs to compete in this conference?

Let the man do his thing. I haven’t been excited about Cuse hoops in a long time. Loving what he’s done so far.

Wait, you don't think he should be consulting with us?
