David O needs to play more. He definitely played a decent amount but needs to way more. He got pressure and had 6 tackles. Little surprised at Weatherspoon being the highest I thought he was pretty good but I was assuming Mack would have been. Not surprised by cook and Willis being high up. Thanks!

Their two corners were really good. Tall, fast and very physical. Certainly could have been penalized for some more PI’s while grabbing our WR while the ball was coming in. One of those corners was a true freshman as well. That is a hard matchup for Gill especially considering we had very little time to throw the ball.

No doubt it's the best defense we will face, just surprised they both ended up in the 40s.

Could be but Clemson, ND and Miami probably all have a shot for that as well.

Yeah 40's is not good. There was back to back plays in the first half where we did slants on the outside. First play, Cook made an inside slant from the right and then on the next play JRS did the exact same inside slant from the left side. Both corners on those plays executed perfect defense where they pulled and grabbed our WR on the break just enough to not get flagged and were able to stay with them and break up the pass. Their corners looked really good. That combined with Angeli not getting much time makes that difficult. Both of those passes were on the money as well. That was a really tough matchup first game for Angeli as well.

I honestly felt like we torched their corners. Not on deep balls but they struggled covering our guys underneath on crossing patterns.

Underrated observation, upon rewatch I saw the same.

I certainly don't think we "torched" them. We beat them occasionally and considering how little time Angeli had that wasn't bad. But that is because we have pretty good WR's. I think Tennesee's Corners were solid. Then again i haven't watched the second half on a rewatch yet.

I was more impressed with Russell than I thought I'd be.. Glad he is in the mix. Can't wait for Boobie to get healthy. Hope he can make it back by Duke.
