I’m hoping we still pursue another guard more in this mold. Doesn’t need to be someone who starts necessarily, just someone who can somewhat self-create beyond the arc (or even just hit off the catch at a good to great clip).

99% sure he is going to end up the starter.

My guess is he will be the starter and Moesch (if he commits) will be the backup.

The little tip in terms of having a wing scorer on campus yesterday had me hoping we were adding another scorer possibly to go with so it would make sense to go this route if more offense is incoming…

How so?

Because it is simply backwards. It is virtually universally acknowledged in the basketball world that developing skills offensively is much harder to do than develop defensively. You can get by on defense with just effort and physicality, that will only get you so far offensively.

Mentioned it before...I have my concerns about him on the offensive end, but he did take a step forward at McNeese this year and he's always been very good on defense. I think theoretically we should have plenty of scoring with 3M, Doty, and Kiyan but would obviously really like to see some of these guys develop their outside shot.

This ^^^ I think guys can slide between 2/3. I think a confident coaching staff like it or not believe that players YoY can better their shooting. I see no reason why Anthony and Doty can't get better there.
That said who is our alpha scorer who can average 17 to 20 pts per game for us at this juncture? That person isn't on the team yet. Now if the philosophy is to smother with defense and have 6 guys average 9 to 15 pts and win, then alpha scorer I guess is not required.
Also would like to see an established rebounder join the team.
