It's a fact. Joe is favored. Joe will still be on the team. JJ isn't coming here to sit behind Joe. Hopefully this helps your comprehension

So who sits. Our new Top gun 2? See the point is that the best players should play. Guys on the team realize who should be playing it pretty obvious. My two cents is that Joe will continue to be favored and possibly start over a more talented player. Right or wrong that is my take and i believe that i could cost us a recruit. Hopefully im wrong but that is my opinion.

Taylor can easily small forward. In fact he really was a SF in HS and AAU.

Have you even watched these guys play?
 
If JJ is looking to play the 2 then my take is off base. I was under the impression that he wanted to play the point.

For sure a fair point. I would argue he’s still not the lead ball handler at the level we need. Before anyone (not saying you) jumps on me, it’s why I’m hoping he calibrates to be Kyle Lowry-esque for us in terms of his game

There is a world in which two combo guards can def work, but, IMO, Joe isn’t there yet with his on ball skills in terms of being able to break anyone down off the dribble and his court vision.

Now, easy for me to say and just assume JJ could be at that level. Always easier to assume the best for the guy that isn’t here yet.

But I don’t think it’s controversial to say Joe needs to level up on a few things to be the primary ball handler as a lock if we have a JJ-like player from where he is now.

Joe has every opportunity this year to be the guy that unlocks our scoring with his play making. Has to land the plane this year. If not, I think JJ or someone like him can push to be the lead guy (and maybe Joe would flourish more off the ball).
 
How many coaches can be on the road at once? Can we have our entire staff including the equipment managers/water boys all go pay a visit to JJ! Full court press.
