I wouldn't rule out the possibility of Sadiq being the starting center.Kiyan or Fennel or Sadiq or any of the bench guys should be in the opposite situation.

I thought Choppa had a good upside and wish we could’ve kept him, but he is not the same player as Kiyan. All his shots were three pointers and mid range shots.I don't see Kiyan playing enough defense to stay on the floor - we thought the same about Choppa heading into last season. "Off the bench bucket getter" is often much better in theory than practice.
I expect a very similar first season to Choppa, actually, with a few big-time performances. It's going to take a year to build up enough reliability and durability to deserve significant minutes in Red's make or break year. And that's okay.

Hopefully one of them can play defense. Thats going to be a major issue with our G/ types.Hopefully JJ doesn’t get premium minutes just because he’s the veteran. Kiyan and Luke are going to push for minutes. Play the hot hands.
That would be pretty wild.I wouldn't rule out the possibility of Sadiq being the starting center.

He'd likely need a Rothsteinian growth spurt this summer. Both height and weight.
He lists at 6'9" and 200 lbs. If by November, he's 210-215, with his wingspan, athleticism, and desire to play defense and rebound, that's a pretty legit D1 center. He may even grow an inch by then. That would be pretty wild.

I don’t disagree with this at all but did find it interesting that when Sadiq White played in the Chris Brinkley Invitational, there was a post with him and it said “Next Generation Guards”….just interestingHe lists at 6'9" and 200 lbs. Clever, clever! At the least, these two are the start of a tasty recipe….

Can someone translate what this means? Never heard of this...
You still have to win and maximize opportunities for margin of victory too. We need to both develop our guys and win while doing so by large margins whenever we can and especially against the weaker part of the schedule.
All this while being the weaker team in many matchups last year….
Totally agree. And, that's what Red talked about when he was hired.Yes, but when you have 10+ bouncy athletic guys, PLAY THEM, make them play hard while they're out there, then send in the next shock troops. You wear down these pre-season opponents when you run athlete after athlete out there and defend them hard.

Please, rule it outI wouldn't rule out the possibility of Sadiq being the starting center.
