Stud!—listen carefully to who is commentating. That dude seemed to be pleased.

It’s true. But also if he has a good year we will most likely get a little discount if he stays in college.Just to illustrate how bizarre the new portal/FA world is, it's arguable that the best realistic outcome for us and George this year is that in next year's free agency he gets poached by a monster $ program willing to pay whatever it takes for him.
Strange times.
Ok. That's enough gummies.
Is it a coincidence that someone argues with him about every 10 minutes?Oh I have no issue with a different opinion just doesn’t need to be rubbed in every 10 mins

4?!?Being in the tournament again and worrying about out how our guys match up would be a good problem to have considering the last 4 seasons.
George is a well rounded point. Checks all the boxes. I especially like his ability to play at his pace. He has a very measured game about him. The little film I've watched actually reminds me of Red when he was playing. He plays in control.
His free throw rate this season was at 20%, roughly 10-20% lower than everyone on our team besides Lucas Taylor and Elijah Moore. From what I saw he had the ball at the end of the shot clock alot. Often times not the best looks and tough shots. That accounts for a dip in % but still concerning. I havnt looked it up yet, I wonder if he draws alot of shooting fouls?
I’m afraid I’ll never get over Mintz. Those wounds run pretty deep.Over Mintz?

I want to see starling’s right hand tied behind his back between now and October. Is it that hard?Starling obviously needs help, he cannot be the only creator on the perimeter.
To use a more current comp -
He plays a lot like Tyler Ennis.
Doesn’t blow you away w athleticism, but uses change of pace and direction to get defenders off balance.
Great vision.
You don’t lead an entire P4 conference in assists by accident.
Yes - one could fairly say the ACC wasn’t a P4 conference this year -
except there’s still Dook.
And it’s not like Nait was surrounded by 5* talents like Cooper Flagg that he was dropping all these dimes to.
We’ve done very well in the portal so far compared to last year. And, as bad as we played and our record is, we are very lucky to be able to snag the 3 guys who are on board. Great job by the coaches and Kline to be able to sell the vision of the future of the team with all that is stacked against us.Anyone who criticizes this kid versus what he have had has their head up their orange. Not to mention the class coming in and Donnie and JJ staying. On paper we have a real team. Last year we brought in kids who had previously failed at ACC level or never been there from the start. Negative posters start your own chain. Let’s leave this one for the fact we just secured a top player available at the top position of need.
My HS coach when I was a sophomore made me do everything left-handed in the off season other than write. Brush my teeth, cut and eat food, all household choirs and task. He didn't ask me to work on my left from a bball standpoint. It worked, as I developed a good left.I want to see starling’s right hand tied behind his back between now and October. Is it that hard?
I was going to point that out last night, but the thread was going so fast, I figured I missed something in the conversation. What does Rodney Terry have to do with any of this?!? He’s not the coach at Texas anymore, you noob. Sean Miller is.
If Red had been fired Donnie, JJ and the other recruits would have all been gone. It would have been a complete rebuild from the ground up without the support of some important individuals including Melo. JW made the best decision in keeping Red for next season and in doing so going on record that he expects huge improvement. One other fact I seriously doubt that Kline would have stayed and with his leaving all of his leg work and connections would have been gone as well.I would have been very happy to see Red fired because I believe he has little coaching ability.
However, I give him props for our 3 transfer adds, especially this one.
May he prove me wrong and get us back to releVance and NCAAT participation
Mine had me taking a tennis ball everywhere I went and dribble that so that a basketball would be the easiest thing ever lolMy HS coach when I was a sophomore made me do everything left-handed in the off season other than write. Kyle will be our starting center. He can guard the entire floor. Long and athletic, He sets incredible screens and will score mainly at the basket. He’s basically the complete opposite of Eddie Lampkin. Denz would be huge final pick up and then they will fill roster with whoever they can. Only have 13 scholarships which is plenty do to title 9. I assume we decided it was too costly to provide 15 for woman’s BB which would be required if they used all 15 the ncaa. Now allows. They’re targeting a starting center. Kyle will be the backup. Kingz will be playing the 3. But yea, i think they’re trying to land at least one other wing/forward.
Great post. As much as I have my doubts on Reds coaching ability, JW made the right call. It would be a great story if Red can turn it around this year.If Red had been fired Donnie, JJ and the other recruits would have all been gone. “Everything” as a teenage boy??My HS coach when I was a sophomore made me do everything left-handed in the off season other than write. You cannot help it, it is okI'm not trying to hate I like Kingz a lot I just believe this guy is middling
