Um he's leading us in scoring and rebounding. Let's leave the Cooney criticism for when he's playing like ass.

All in all not a bad half of basketball. I actually love the way Hop is coaching this game. He has made smart substitutions throughout the first half. If we can make our free throws we can win this thing. I believe!

On your second point: Hop is keeping the troops fired up and they're fighting hard out there for every rebound, every loose ball. Love our heart tonight, it's what has kept us in it and what will make us better going forward

We tied the first half in spite of it. But we have to do better in the second half. If we miss another 7, we will have a hard time.

Honestly him going that hard to the rim got him the block call IMO. If he went halfsies trying to get a layup the defender doesn't flinch at the last moment for fear of getting tea bagged and get called for a block.

That said G wants this game badly. He has to maintain that aggressiveness going to the rim early in the second half. Keep getting to the line and at least get Pitt guys in foul trouble, and then start making some free throws.

Agreed. I haven't been in love with Lydon offensively of late, tentative, flat shot...not producing much. Cooney nailed some big shots, played very well, still wish he could create a bit more at times off the dribble, but when Richardson fills that roll like he did in the first half, they can complement each other well. Now, if Richardson could get some of those ones that are rattling out to go down - we'd be in business. G was aggressive which was nice, but has to hit those free throws!!!

Ever hear of a shot clock? Cooney could have not taken two of those and just let the horn go off.
