No he does not ... McShay has him at 9th best QB prospect not including Sophs - Froshes like Rattler at OU ... McShay is a fool and Pickett at best will be a 3rd string or practice squad at the next level ... I don’t get the obsession with a very mediocre QB. Leary looks better.

Watching some of these games, we have immediately, knee jerk reactions and takes and in evaluating Pickett, you really need to invest some time and open minded thinking in evaluating him...the subjective. He isn't the biggest, fastest, biggest arm, or sexiest qb out there. What he is:
Instinctive
Smart
Understands coverage
Fast and athletic in the pocket to extend plays
A leader, the kids love him
Has nuts
Understand scheme
He will be a pro and given the right situation and opportunity, will start.

The big difference is being a pro qb . Anyone drafted has a shot. The difference is the gap between the last qb taken and those not taken. QBs aren't drafted to be a 3rd string clip board operator. They are drafted on potential to contribute and Pickett has that. Ballsy play today.

Not a knee jerk ... knee jerk is obsessing over inflated stats ... riddle me this .., Pitt has the ball first and goal and goes 4 and out without throwing 1 pass ... not 1 .. if those coaches saw NFL QB that doesn’t happen ... seriously that was the ultimate vote of non confidence ... a second string QB throws 4 scores against what is supposed to be a far better D? Please ... Pickett isn’t even a top 15 QB in the country.

Pickett will never play a live snap in the NFL. Book it.

Cant answer play calling decisions, hell we run JJ between the tackles over and over. Sometimes coordinators get locked in on meathead play calling at the goal line. I agree, not getting him on the edge with his wheels to make a play with his arm and legs is bad play calling. Watching him over the last few years, the kid can play. We can agree to disagree, it's good chatter. Not sure there are 15 better qbs, sure there are physically, but at 6'3", 220 and good feet he has a good shot.

Pitts D blew it, and yes, that ncst is pretty good. We all have teams we dont care for on the league I have always respected Pitt and the way they run things, not a fan on ncst and their coach. They blew it today. Enjoy the games.
