Everyone does lol.
Good point that's why I get on our wrs. Look around cfb and the athletes with size, young athletes at the position. We have alot of catching up to do.
Everyone does lol.
Cant answer play calling decisions, hell we run JJ between the tackles over and over. Sometimes coordinators get locked in on meathead play calling at the goal line. I agree, not getting him on the edge with his wheels to make a play with his arm and legs is bad play calling. Watching him over the last few years, the kid can play. We can agree to disagree, it's good chatter. Not sure there are 15 better qbs, sure there are physically, but at 6'3", 220 and good feet he has a good shot.
Pitts D blew it, and yes, that ncst is pretty good. We all have teams we dont care for on the league I have always respected Pitt and the way they run things, not a fan on ncst and their coach. They blew it today. Enjoy the games.
I have watched him and at the start of this game I said the D is overrated and Pickett isn’t a top NCAA QB and they lose to a bad NC St team. Apparently you didn’t watch NC St get pounded by Va Tech last week without Hooker at QB.
A top shelf QB with an “elite D” doesn’t lose at home ... period. Pickett won’t be a difference maker on Sundays, he is a decent college QB ... that’s it.
He isn't just about the last few weeks, he has been good for a few years. His D let him down today, he played well and they outgained ncst methodically all day. We will see what the pro scouts say, I would take him in a heartbeat as our qb.
I was thinking.he was an idiot and it would probably cost them the game.Prevent D ... lololololol
and when Doreen used his last timeout with over 5 minutes left in the game all could think about were syracuse fans‘ reaction.
When yardage totals determine a W then consider it ... he has not done enough to merit the drooling.
Cant defend his defense but he threw for over 400 yds today. That said, its not even about his #s primarily, but rather his vision, moxy, and ability to keep plays alive. Something our qb lacks. Pro scouts look at those intangibles and the reason these traits are more important than arm strength in shorts.
As a music analogy, bruce and Dave Mathews aren't gonna win any voice talent contests, but they just know how to craft a song and CREATE. I know, I know...I took a chance here, there are plenty of dmb haters out there, lol.
Their offensive line is far superior. They held up well against Pitts defensive line.NC State has better skill people than we do.

How'd those intangibles workout against a mediocre NC st team at home. I’m sure there are plenty of NFL teams looking to lose home games to underdogs ... your music analogy is fine but let’s face it if Tom Brady is Beethoven then Pickett is a tone deaf mute with a Kazoo and a banjo.
Lol, do you think NFL scouts look at wins and loses? He can't play defense too. He did enough to win, didn't throw the ball to the other team. The smart eyes take certain things away from these games. The fact they lost in this game has zero impact on his pro evaluation, zero.
LOL a pro team not considering winners vs losers oookkkk seriously just stop. Pickett had a QBR of 122 last year with a 13 to 9 TD to INT ratio and like I said put 29 points on the board in a loss at home to an underdog who gave up over 40 to Tech the week prior with a backup QB. Just stop ... that isn’t an NFL caliber QB.
Respectfully, you dont know what a pro qb looks like. So, most of the QBs that lost today or any other day aren't good prospects? You cant give me any good reasons based on qb traits and talents that dont say he has a legit shot. Listen, I am a cuse fan too, but not afraid to admit when a rival team or player is talented. He had a QB >144 today not that that garbage always tells the story, but yes, the loss today was NOT on him and any real fan or scout will see that.
He's the college version of Tony Romo at Dallas, puts up greats stats but doesn't win enough games. He isn't just about the last few weeks, he has been good for a few years. Pitt and BC are both trash. They will finish around 500 like they do every year. People on this board have a tendency to compare them to our team which is a notch below them on the trash scale most years. Just because they beat us on the regular doesn’t mean they are a good team. In fact all it really means is that we are consistently bad.
I gave you a like because I completed agree with your "consistently bad" sentiment relative to SU, even though I don't necessarily agree with Pitt and BC being trash.
Unfortunately, it does seem in year 5 that we are still a long ways away from being "consistently good and occasionally great" as Dino has uttered. As a diehard fan, here's to continued wishful thinking.

How about Cutcliffe at Duke?
Wildly inconsistent. And not even occasionally great.
How does that hack still even have a job?
Because it's Duke...a "basketball" school.
