One way to neutralize a good ground game is to get a lead. Most teams will throw more when they are behind in an effort to catch up.

If we fall behind, I would expect Pitt to go to a ground and pound attack; chews up the clock, beats up our d-line and keeps our offense off the field.

Pitt is beatable. Their o-line is good, but not as good as ND’s.
