Shafer said he thought about going for the win at the end of the second overtime at UVA, but believed the SU defense could get a stop.
As much as this kid has given to SU (almost his life) and fought throughout his life (HS struggle with a disease which prevented him from eating solid food for months), I think it is time he gets a rest so we can see what the young kids can do. Hope he fights through this, too.

He probably saw the first 3 quarters, where we held Virginia to 7 offensive points. So, coach, what did you see Saturday that led you to believe that the defense could stop UVA, because the rest of us sure didn't see it.

If he had gone for 2 and missed, the other 33% of this board who was ok with the philosophy would be up in arms. If he goes for it and gets it, or the defense gets a stop, there are most likely ZERO "0" fire HCSS posts this week. Everybody is so quick to turn on things.
