I haven’t even looked for it, but has anyone seen what amount of plays we have run in these two games? And, how it compares to last year? Feels like we’re not on pace with the last couple of years.

Week 1 2018: 88
Week 2 2018: 80

Week 1 2019: 79
Week 2 2019: 70

Why have we slowed down? That tells me some group isn’t understanding the offense or it isn’t conditioned well enough. You would think tempo might help hide some deficiencies.

We haven’t been getting first downs. Can’t have tempo without first downs.

This is so simple to understand. Yesterday our play count was down because Maryland drive drive after drive and we didn’t get any 3 and outs. Far fewer opportunities. Against Liberty once we got a decent lead we went real conservative and tried to keep it as vanilla as possible.

Very slow yesterday. First downs would help but we just looked slow all around
Yeah put me in the camp that says there are some things that explain a lower number of plays, but overall, we don't seem to be putting the pressure on using hurry up that we've seen in the past.

I don't like it. I think we need it. It gives our play the feeling that it has some edge.

you need to be able to run the ball to get the play counts and tempo moving. offense took a step forward sat but it needs 3-4 more before it gets to anything close to what it wants..

still had plenty of chances to score 35+ and we cant leave those on the table and expect to win games.
