Poetry in Moten..

My favorite Moten game was the Big Monday game in 1994 against UConn in the Dome. UConn was extremely good that year with Donyell Marshall, Donny Marshall and Ray Allen. We won 108-95 and Moten dropped 31 points and had 10 rebounds.

I mean, what else is there to say?

Great stories. Poetry didn’t have to say much. He spoke with how he played, and how he treated people. There will never be another Lawrence Moten. He was so great. Those of us that got to watch him come in as probably the lowest ranked recruit in that class to being the best player in the class and the best scorer in school history was something to witness. It really was like watching an artist out there.
And, the way I see it, he will always be the Big East’s all-time leading scorer. Markus Howard is the all-time leading scorer of a watered-down league.

Curious if anyone happened to try and track down any of his old games on YouTube? If you did, could you link here? I would love to watch a couple of his old games.
For the "youngins" on this board. If someone posts some game links, grab some beer and watch them on your TV YouTube app and enjoy a legendary SU hoopster. He was really fun to watch. As others have said, super smooth on the court. His step shot and Lawrence always anticipated were a ball was going when another player shot and always had a quick putback.

He was a great player and, as others have said, a great guy.
If he played today we'd all have pair of Moten socks.
Some things leave you feeling a little stunned or depressed.
But this is a real shock to the entire Orange nation.
