Division I Men's Media Poll: Early ACC Success Dominates the Top

The first in-season Inside Lacrosse Media Poll still sees Duke atop the voting — but in a sign of early-season ambiguity

No. 1 Duke, No. 2 North Carolina, No. 3 Virginia and No. 4 Syracuse all received first-place votes in the poll. With seasons starting more staggered than usual, the top three spots favor the ACC teams that have excelled in early play, while much of the Top 20 remains idle. Next week will be one of the first true looks at most of the teams in the nation and will be a more reflective of the season’s progress — though still not complete as more teams don’t start until March.
