Media Poll: No. 1 Maryland Leads, No. 20 UMass Enters

No. 1 Maryland (5-0) headlines this week’s Media Poll after topping Syracuse, 14-9, on Saturday, as the No. 2 Florida Gators follow undefeated at 8-0. The pair of undefeated teams leading the pack are set to meet on Saturday afternoon on Gainesville in a must-watch showdown.

The Orange sits in the No. 3 spot, while No. 4 North Carolina and No. 5 Notre Dame follow to round the top five.

No. 9 USC enters the top ten for the first time this season, while No. 20 UMass also enters rank for the first time this spring.

IWLCA Polls: DI, DII & DIII

The 2015 defending national champions all held onto the number one spot in their respective divisional polls this week. For the sixth week of the regular season, the Maryland Terrapins collected 20 first place votes to stay at the top of the Division I poll. Adelphi swept all 20 first place votes to solidify their lock on the top spot in the Division II coaches poll. SUNY Cortland also remained number one in the Division III poll with all 20 first place votes.
