Media Poll: No. 1 Maryland Leads; USC Cracks Top Five
No. 1 Maryland (12-0) remains undefeated at the top of this week’s Media Poll after routing Big Ten foe Rutgers, 18-3, over the weekend. No. 2 Florida, No. 3 North Carolina and No. 4 Syracuse remain, but No. 5 USC (13-0) enters for the first time this season to round out the top five. It marks the first time in the young program’s history that the Trojans cracked the top five ranks.
No. 8 Ohio State enters the top ten for the first time this season after running past then-No. 9 Penn State, 16-13, on Saturday.
Colorado, Johns Hopkins, Loyola and Harvard are all receiving votes.
