For those of us who (GASP!) don't follow this stuff as closely - how so?
Does UVa have a history of good RB's?
Is he a great recruiter?
Other?

"One of Beatty's mentors, William & Mary offensive coordinator Kevin Rogers, has no doubt it will. A former offensive coordinator at Notre Dame and Boston College as well as a former NFL assistant, Rogers was coaching at Syracuse when he walked into Beatty's office at North Stafford High in 1998."

He's got a great reputation as a recruiter in the Virginia/DC area, which is an area Dino wants to target.

Mendenhall may regret letting him go. Besides RichRod, Beatty is probably most responsible for that great run they had at WVU. Hope we find a NJ recruiter too but Beatty is like 3 Acostas in terms of reputation.

True. He got hired at WVU and got the top 4 players in Va to verbal there in a short period of time.

This may well be Babers biggest recruit of the year.
