I do not understand the ”play” we ran late when JJ heaved up the terrible shot. That is not well coached. Cmon Red, run something instead of saying “JJ makes play”.

I had the same thought. But with Eddie, Cuffe, Carlos and Petr in the floor what else could they call? An interesting combo for sure that got it done down the stretch.

It's all about effort and energy. They have to bring it from the jump. Don't wait until they are way down. As Fran Brown would say, it's all about the S. Don't worry about your stats, put in the effort for the win. Box out, set screens, contribute to the win selflessly. Sometimes JJ is the guy, but when the other team is selling out to stop him, figure out another way. In this game, they shut down JJ, then they figured out to go through Davis, when they tried to stop that, they went back to JJ. We need to do that every game. This league sucks, we can beat most teams. We can also lose to most teams, actually all teams.

I liked the lineup that ended the game. Some of the guys in the bench look checked out. At one point Engelstad had to implore a few guys to get in the huddle. Chris Bell was one of those guys.

Really great effort in the 2nd half. And consistent throughout the entire half. Cuffe played his ass off but didn’t overdo it.

Walked away angry from Red in the second half when he was pulled because Cuffe missed him on the break.
