(Have to start this “early”)

- 3/25 in a half. That’s something.

- Glad to at least see Sidibe out there. Hope he is injury free moving forward. Unfortunately, the prior injuries have likely done a number.

- We play 3 “guards” total, and we moved Kadary and Buddy to the 3 on defense today and played all of them together. That’s something.

- I say again. Press more. Screw it.

Agree. Press more. If at the very least put a soft press on to allow the other team is waste additional seconds bringing the ball up.

yes, you will need to play more subs but this would be much more successful.

Teams will continue to treat Buddy like honey to bees. He’ll continue to chuck up shots and we’ll get down big. That’s what we have left for the year. NIT at best.

Play Kadary and Woody. Limit Buddy and Joe and see if you can grow these kids for next year.

to me this is a key. I’m not suggesting it changes the outcome, but we were down 10 6 mins into the game. It’s every game.

Yeah, our strategy boils down to - let's see if we can outshoot them early if Joe and Buddy are hot. If they are, fantastic, all is well.

When they ain't though, as is often the case, we really start digging a hole especially as Q and AG drift into taking reckless shots to get in on the action. It's a cluster****.

here is a thought, leave me alone with the big white phone

Can I guess JB is going to let us in the fanbase know Kadary played 29 minutes today and we got killed.
Where Joe only played 25 minutes and was solid.

Can I put that in the ether?
You know it's coming.

Of course, he will ignore (1) how shtty his son played...AGAIN; (2) how almost all of JG's points came during garbage time; and (3) with his YMCA starting backcourt in the game, we went down 10 about 4:00 into the game, never to recover.

this team is far more than a Benny Williams away from being good (wire to wire Top 25, Top 4 in ACC, Sweet 16+).

The program is rotten, starting at the top. The rot and complacency is spreading.
Yeah. I keep asking Where is Benny going to play, and no one answers. I find it hard to believe he's going to take minutes away from Buddy or Quincy or Marek. Griffin, i don't think JB has loyalty to. But, Benny is going to have to jump over Griffin and Woody and Braswell, although i have a feeling one of those guys isn't going to return.

Is it bad that I’m literally not fazed in the least, and watched a replay of the Hunger Games on TNT?
It took all of 5 minutes to see that the same-old, same-old was gonna be the story of this game.
Yeah, as i wrote in the game thread we were a bit “rusty”, but the bottomline remains that we are the most predictable team in cbb. We don’t switch defenses unless we absolutely have no choice, & then all we do is desperately press and hope it works.
On offense, any pressure in-your-face D rattles us and we take forever to get going. Rinse...and repeat.

I can’t see why Marek would be back either. But who knows.

Oh, yeah—forgot he was a senior. But, he could apply for another year?
What other options does he have? Pro ball in Europe? Is that possible?

We have a bad habit of getting nothing easy while other teams do.

Guerrier is overmatched with the slow backdown at PF. Hes a SF meloesque who will guarded by taller guys in the nba. Who knows, maybe he comes back another year to work on his explosive dribble, and griff finds one. Won't matter though because of minutes. Game has evolved where other teams are better one on one, and Woody and Brass aren't offensive board eaters yet. Center ugh. Don't think there is a position across the entire acc for any team that has been worse than us at center since Rak left.

On the plus, defense was pretty good outside of horrendous rebounding, and the kids finally found some heart in the second half. But this team cant play down 20. Down 10 yes, down 20 without scorching nets at a 60% clip no.

I kinda wish i could not watch. I think it's like everything else in my life. I absorb suffering.

Agree with the bolded, but disagree about the defense. I thought that the defense was horrid today.

Kadary had 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 6 steals and was the best defensive guard. By far. Not to knock Girard’s performance but most of his points were scored long after the game was decided. He certainly has a place on this team.

And in a normal game where Buddy and Griffin don’t shoot a combined 5-26, he would’ve had more like 6-7 assists. He made some nice passes to open shooters and they just didn’t make anything, and had some nice passes up the court off steals that guys didn’t finish.
