Moves his feet well and is very strong. He just moves people out of the way. Good hands and moves well for a big man. Has some low post moves.Might be some interest in Dishon Jackson from Iowa State…

He entered the portal I believe the day after Iowa state got eliminated. Fans were hoping he’d stay but there were rumors they pushed him out to go after the kid from San Diego State.Isn't he a senior? I thought I remembered that watching the game.

Does he still have eligibility or is he one of those players entering the portal who is hoping the NCAA approves a 5th year for everyone. He played 2 years at Washington. 1 at Charlotte and another at Iowa St - least number of games he played in any his 4 years was 24.Might be some interest in Dishon Jackson from Iowa State…
Are they just hoping they all get an extra year like we were hoping McCord would, even though there is no reason for it?

What 3 in the ACC or any other major conference can Freeman guard? He can't stay in front of guys that are 4's. He can't play the 3. He is more likely to play the 5. And I hope we don't see much of that.I don't see any way Kyle plays the 4. His game is putbacks and lobs. That's about it.
And for semantics, if they are both on the floor with a 'real' 5, White is the 4 and Freeman is the 3. DF has the much more polished offensive game and ability to hit from outside. Think Melo and Hak.
You’re so correct. People have this fantasy of putting the biggest frontcourt together as possible. The game has changed. It doesn’t happen anymore unless you have a special talent. Flagg is as talented as they come and he plays the four spot. What 3 in the ACC or any other major conference can Freeman guard? He can't stay in front of guys that are 4's. He can't play the 3. Well, he is going to play, and play a lot. 3 ability on O. He will have to guard someone, so the 4 may be most likely. But I am sure the expectation from White’s camp is he gets big minutes. And he has to be an 4. On O at least. And I can’t imagine Donnie is a big minute 5 guy. At least not the base case…You’re so correct. How does he have any eligibility left? He played 20+ games four straight years, none at a JUCO, and COVID years are done. Edit nevermindMight be some interest in Dishon Jackson from Iowa State…
Man, I remember watching Carr's high school in EYBL games. They got dominated every time I watched but he looked like he was 5 times the athlete that everyone else was.I see a lot of Sadiq Whites role in Coen Carrs, even though Sadiq is more talented and has more on ball skills.
There are currently 25 pages in this thread discussing the very thing you're asking. Read.I've really not followed college basketball closely in a while, who are the best players that we're going after in the portal? Are we in the running for any game changers?
I'll never say never and I do think his scoring numbers against good HS teams suggest he should be able to score right away, but I would mention Donnie gave us 13/8 this year and Judah 16/5 his freshman year...current belief is Kiyan will not be starting next season so the likelihood of him touching their numbers is pretty slim (and even against high school competition, he didn't really provide any box score stats outside of scoring).I’m not sure if anyone has seen Kiyan Anthony highlights from this Throne tournament. His frame is noticeably bigger. He might be more ready to make an impact Day 1 in all aspects of the game than we have had in a freshmen in a while.
And yeah I don’t and wouldn’t expect for him to have as good of a stat line as Judah and maybe even Donnie. All aspects is referring to everything, offense, defense, and leadership. He seems like he is turning into a very intelligent player and is very good at knowing his spots and directing traffic for his teammates. Also seems like he is on track to be physically ready Day 1. It’s the things that he does in the game that don’t pop on the stat sheet that is intriguing.I'll never say never and I do think his scoring numbers against good HS teams suggest he should be able to score right away, but I would mention Donnie gave us 13/8 this year and Judah 16/5 his freshman year...current belief is Kiyan will not be starting next season so the likelihood of him touching their numbers is pretty slim (and even against high school competition, he didn't really provide any box score stats outside of scoring).
Again though, much like Judah was his senior year of HS, Kiyan is legitimately one of the best scorers in the best HS league in the country. If given the minutes, it's not crazy to think he could score in the teens as a freshman.
Also hopefully we will be winning games next year instead of Judah and Donnie essentially putting up empty numbers lolAnd yeah I don’t and wouldn’t expect for him to have as good of a stat line as Judah and maybe even Donnie. It is going to be nice to have someone that can come in and get buckets. Syracuse doesn’t need him to be a savior next year just a guy who contributes. In a perfect world the three freshman develop a nice chemistry and give the team a strong bench.I’m not sure if anyone has seen Kiyan Anthony highlights from this Throne tournament.
