Potential 2025-26 Roster

Interesting Portal tidbit: There are 87 womens basketball players 6-4 or taller that entered the transfer portal this year:
6-4: 46 players
6-5: 23 players
6-6: 11 players
6-7: 4 players
6-8: 2 players
6-9: 1 player

If we can’t haul in another experienced proven big how about young developmental projects with potential? 6’5” center in the transfer portal from Louisville who redshirted last year who should have full eligibility left. Eseosa Imafidon a Nigerian player with a redshirt year at Louisville.

Here’s another young 6’5” Australian player transferring from UCF who would be a sophomore and another developmental player. Adeang Ring Our Aussie poster etc have any info on this young player? 3 years of eligibility left.

Ring transferred to Virginia. Va has signed 3 players 6'3" or more.

Her offensive efficiency at UCF wasn’t good but her “40 minute“ stats for rebounds, blocks were good especially for a freshman. Should develop - rats but why at Virginia? Oh well. ON3 didn’t reflect that Ring had made a decision yet.

I don't know anything about Adeang Ring, I can see she was from NSW but moved over to the States for her last couple of years of high school. It doesn't look like she made the NSW State team, which is generally not something I'd worry about except that she's so tall. We don't produce a lot of tall girls and those that do come through the system usually get a pretty easy ride in terms of making representative teams. My expectation is therefore that she is not very good.

The u18 nationals have recently concluded. There weren't many standout bigs there. Quite a few long athletic girls who might end uo good but are very skinny at the moment. Keira Gardner (2027) is the best big and Olivia Hastings (2026) are 2 to look out for. Madison Ryan (2027) is a tall wing who had some good moments and Sitaya Fagan (2026) who has her own thread on here was pretty good, still nowhere near the attention she has received though.

Have you or anyone heard anything about Aalyah Del Rosario the 6’6” center transferring from LSU who would be an incoming junior? Would be an awesome get at SU. Hope Angelica and Coach FLJ etc can work some magic.

Coop Swoop: Mallory Miller, a 6-4 stretch 4 from Arizona State, that we recruited out of High School, Just committed to TCU!!!!! TCU is loading up on talent. They are getting all the pieces they need to build a National Title contender. They got a 6-7 post our of the portal. Olivia Miles from Notre Dame just committed, they got a 6-8 HS player , who recruited and had on campus commit. We can't sign one player of need to fill a gaping hole as large as the Grand Canyon. Money is tipping the scales in recruiting to the schools with the big donors. Syracuse is on the outside of the store window, looking in at all the people with money making purchases. The portal potentially allows a team to retool it's roster every year. That is what the top teams are doing and this is why they will continue to be top teams...We are in a very sad state right now...very depressing...

I saw that...I thought I read somewhere where she committed to TCU... Maybe TCU recruited over her...
I liked her game...and so did SU coming out of High School. Her strength is her 3 point game and not her post up, defense/ rebound game. Maybe we wanted a more physical rebounding power forward instead of a stretch 4!

Amazing how many spots are open for ACC teams. Is it a weak portal or are players asking for too many $ so coaches and players are waiting it out? Interesting.

Wonder if we have a new coach to take Kristen Sharkey’s place on the staff? I haven’t heard anything. We’re now short a recruiter to go on the road or to follow up on players that she was recruiting for SU before she left.

I think they promoted the Director of Basketball Operations to the assistant position...

Can't afford it. Fran needs 4 scholarship kickers. ;)

Gonna call it how it is. This is a really weak roster in my opinion. Concerning
Agreed, the program added 3 players from the portal who combined for a total of 4.7 ppg last year- would not appear to be an injection of experienced, high level talent. I think you have to squint very hard to see them as competitive in the ACC next year.

Think SEC and a few other programs are piling so much money that we’re and others are left behind. Don’t see it changing. We will have to fight for the scraps when the money players are picked.

We really aren’t in a position to dedicate more money to the program when we need to have men’s bball and football humming for the long term positioning of the overall AD. It’s sad but not sure it’s really fixable in short term unless a whale or two steps up specifically to support the women’s program.

We have to rely on developing less heralded players and praying we can keep them.
