I'm a lifetime fan and an alum. Me being critical is not a lack of support. Awful post.

I saw a team that for most of the game looked lazy, uninspired and poorly prepared. Comebacks are fun and all but we have the talent out there. Why not pressure them more from the start? Why leave open shooters in the zone? I'm talking coaching and you are firing shots at whether I support this team. Come on.
can not disagree but young players will make mistakes. That is how you get experience and progress

Girard is a fan heart attack for good and bad. Malik Brown always produces when he plays. Bet he has the best +- on team by far. Copeland really showed something tonight. Mintz had to take it to the hole at the end, but they should have had a second ball handler to make it easier for him to bring it up and feel less rushed.

Slow down folks. Pitt played out of their heads and we are still progressing as a young team. Look at what Copeland and Brown did tonight. Lots of room to grow. Pitt can not get any better.
The main problem is you never know who will show up on this team and play better than anticipated. Copeland played great tonight but had not shown much in other games for the most part. On the other hand, Brown has been fairly consistent when given the chance. He should be starting over Bell.

Copeland finally played a good game, he had been a major liability up to this point.

He was making the simple plays and he was working his ass off on defense.

What kind of energy is good energy from a coach? Honest question because it seems like coaches that are too energetic (buzz Williams, Hurley) are bad, and whenever JB rips into a player for doing something stupid it’s viewed as him being too mean.

What is a good energy?
I’d settle for a coach that seems engaged, awake and active

This is the kind of game that Copeland can excel. Wild, open court type of game. In a half court game he will struggle. He does have confidence and he plays with energy. Brown can make simple drives to the rim. Benny cannot get by anyone on the dribble. He just can’t do it. This team is going to drive JB nuts. He wants consistency and routine and this team is anything but.

You think we have a coaching staff that has these kids ready to go every game? How come we come out flat every game almost and slow footed to boot in a rivalry conference game? Good energy? Remember Hop? Remember how good we were with him on the bench? That's good energy

all part of playing different players. They are growing, learning the system and developing their skills. They have room to improve

Agreed to a point on the “we don’t know who will show up” take.

My response would be... why is Bell playing the first 11 mins of the game to the point we get down 12?

Additionally, Brown has shown up EVERY SINGLE time he’s been given the chance.

Losing season is definitely back on the table. There are zero guaranteed wins left on the schedule. You can argue Louisville but weird things happen on the road in conference play.

I’m upset. This 5 year or however long nightmare needs to end because I’ll never stop caring enough to let it not bother me.

JB seemed pretty engaged, spoke with players ever sub, spoke with them on the bench, drew up plays, got in the refs ear, not sure what more he’s supposed to do. I don’t think he gives an about the energy he brings to press conferences, as he shouldn’t.

I'M interested to hear the post game press conference excuses. But not tonight. Maybe the 1st excuse should be we shouldn't be playing 9pm starts in the EST. Good night Gracie

Part of it is the lineup. I don't see how you keep Maliq Brown on the bench for Chris Bell much longer. You can't afford for both of your forwards to be soft, and at least Benny gives us a mid-range game.

Careful what you wish for Louisville pushed out a legend coach and here they are…

Pitino never let it get this bad of course, but it’s not like the follow ups were anything to write home about.

I like the kids we have. They looked like they weren't ready and the rotations were a mess most of the game.
Sounds good after a loss but would have you said this if we won?
