How is Walker Eget rated better than Odom? What are these people smoking?
I'm just pleased that we have a reasonably solid [and maybe better than that, time will tell] backup QB behind Angeli, who is both experienced and productive. Odom will be better / more prolific than Collins was, should he get his number called.
And that behind those two, we have a pair of guys [Lott and the Georgetown transfer] who are better than Carney.
Bottom shouldn't fall out if Angeli is slow to be ready at the beginning of the season, or if injury rears it's head again. Hope we don't have to find out.
Especially since Eget was a senior and had 2 years of starting experience. Odom was just a Soph and has played a season and a half. Eget had a little bit more passing yds but Odom has the better completion %, better TD/INT and is a better runner. How is Walker Eget rated better than Odom? What are these people smoking?
Oh and a former 5 star 99 rated QB out of HS who was just a redshirt Sophomore last year and has just under a year of starting experience under his belt. Not a bad flyer to add to the mix.I'm just pleased that we have a reasonably solid [and maybe better than that, time will tell] backup QB behind Angeli, who is both experienced and productive. Kienholz was the second string QB behind Julian Sayan who was one of the top QB's in the country. He played almost zero though so anything regarding him is pure speculation on projection.Kienholz and Edwards are garbage, change my mind.
I have seen them both play .. not impressed. OSU made it a point to get Sayin because they knew what they had on the roster wasn’t good enough. As for Edwards go back and look at his lights out performance vs Miami of Ohio, he looked awful. Neither look like game changers.Kienholz was the second string QB behind Julian Sayan who was one of the top QB's in the country. Edwards got injured during the first game of the season in 2025 with Wisky but in 2024 was a 2900 yd passer with a 15/9 TD/INT ratio and a 65% completion %, at Maryland in the BIG10 as a first time starter. That is certainly not garbage.

I hope this young man is the backup we need but after the last 5 years I need to see this guy in action first for Syracuse before saying we addressed the issue. Looks promising but so have others.
I actually watched the game and well aware of the injury … leading up to the injury he was dreadful. He stats were decent at UMD but he is not a top 10 ACC QB.He suffered a grade 3 (complete) PCL strain in his left knee during the season-opening victory over Miami (Ohio) on August 28, 2025. Despite initially returning to practice, the injury was unstable, preventing him from playing further in 2025.
By looking at the stats i'm guessing it was about a half of the game. Bad stats for sure but I would think a full season the year prior is a better indicator of his talents.
to be fair a redshirt sophomore is 3 years in college. You typically only get 4. If you haven’t shown anything by year 3, and at a lower level, i’m really not counting on much other than emergency QB after a couple injuries.Oh and a former 5 star 99 rated QB out of HS who was just a redshirt Sophomore last year and has just under a year of starting experience under his belt. Pretty much agree...rare cases though where a player's learning curve goes parabolic late in his career.to be fair a redshirt sophomore is 3 years in college. You typically only get 4.
