A major reason for the optimism surrounding Brian Kelly's program is the return of quarterback Jayden Daniels. Daniels, who transferred to LSU from Arizona State prior to this season, announced last month that he would return for his final year of college eligibility.
It seems, however, that Daniels' return has come at a price.
Backup quarterback Walker Howard, a former blue chip recruit, has announced his plan to entered the transfer portal on Wednesday, as first reported by Mike Scarborough of Tigerbait.com.
