The picks in Class A are quarterbacks Miguel Iglesias of Somers and Joseph Filardi of Half Hollow Hills West. Somers captured the NYSPHSAA Class A title, while HHHW reached the Division II semifinals in the Long Island Championships.

Iglesias is committed to Notre Dame for lacrosse I believe.

Our dude Darien Williams co-POTY for AA!! NOICE.

For giggles, I checked on my old school, Valhalla HS, who had a GREAT season.
Our Soph RB was 1st team all-state in Class C, 6'0" and 210!!! DAYUM.

His 2nd team all-state OL is 6'1" and 195. LOL!!
That's more the 'size' we're used to from such a dinky school.

COMMITTED 4/23/24!!!!

A QB named Joe? Fantastic! I hope he's part of the QB competition and gets snaps in the spring game.

He is a lax recruit and his primary focus will be lacrosse. He won't be with the football team in the spring.
That has been mentioned before. Hope he excels at lax. Still hope he gets a chance to give football a chance. He really excelled on the high school level against decent competition.

I understand he is a lacrosse recruit first and foremost to start, but once he begins football activities, if he looks pretty good at QB, it would benefit both him and SU to have him put more focus on football. If he saw success on the football side that would be better financially for both parties. I don't expect him to do anything in 2025 for football since he won't be involved in the spring. But if he looks good in the fall who knows what happens after that.

I'd be shocked if he's ever remotely involved in the QB battle in his time at SU.

I think the odds are against him. But I don't think its completely unrealistic. He looks fairly talented IMO.

When is he scheduled to be admitted? I watched the Lacrosse game today and couldn't find his name mentioned anywhere.

Looks like he’s skipping his senior Lax season.
