Didn't Fran say we were going to get 2 QB's? Was never sure if that included Lott. But since we are cleaning house and Angeli's return is not 100%, I think we need to get at least 2 starter-candidate guys.

Based only on highlights and stats, Dickens "seems" like the better QB to me and I don't think it's close.

I am not anti Stokes. His production is intriguing. But... he also threw at least 1 INT in 9 of 12 games this season (total of 13). And he threw 8 INTs in 8 games played last season.

Dickens was the original priority. But there were rumblings he may have gotten better offers and wanted to play things out. So it's interesting to see the one guy publicly reported to be visiting is a potential competitor to his offer.

The odd thing with both guys are they have two years left. So perhaps they want to come for a year and parlay it into something else, especially if they get to show some game footage early in the year if Steve is ramping up. No clue how you sell it besides giving guys a good pay check to be the backup.

I can't see us getting both of these types of guys. Seemed like an FCS guy plus a backup/depth guy from another school with more eligibility would be the natural way to play it. But who knows...

Dickens is really good but I do have concerns about his height, as I am sure others do. Would be happy to have him, however. We all hope Steve is ready to roll for New Hampshire but we just don’t know. I think that uncertainty, plus some good NIL cash, gets a quality guy here for QB2. You don’t even need to use the old “one injury away” from being a starter cliche. Steve already has had a serious injury and QB2 will be the number one guy in spring practice, that is 100% a certainty. And who knows what fall practice looks like. QB3 could be a journeyman kid who started a bit

That's a valid concern -- but on the other hand, if you can play - you can play.

We need someoone who can step in if needed and produce. I'd rather have a "better" QB who is short than someone who has the measureables like Rickie, but who lacks "it."

Hmmmm... I saw him throwing of his back foot while on the move repeatedly. Makes the distance of some throws even more impressive but also lollipops the ball as result. Kids got great arm strength just will need to see more on shorter routes into tighter windows. Not saying he can't or doesn't, just didn't see it on that clip.

That said, we have some catch radius receivers that those passes can work with. Hell throw 50:50 balls deep on 3rd and long and see what happens. Complete, PI, incomplete or pick but at least there's a chance. Better than throwing short pick 6s as we did repeatedly last season.

Well yes, you're correct... but that isn't setting your feet to throw. He's only using arm strength which in itself is impressive given stats.

I would think that would need to be quantified to a greater degree. What do you mean by that in theory and in essence true because true righteousness comes from one place but we still have the capacity to try and to want to do good and fall short and that is where Grace comes in but in essence if you just look at the world, it is certainly fallen and has been since the beginning

Trying not to get into any of the Christian views, but that's why I made my previous statement. We are born as sinners, so not one of us is just.
