Yes, this is a done deal. Not sure when he will announce.
If we keep Collins on board with Angeli great! But I really won’t be shocked to see a scenario where Collins enters the portal and goes to Tulane.

How much more time does Collins have to transfer out? I heard somewhere his chance to transfer again closes in like two days.

From what it sounds like, it seems this is already a done deal. Maybe they're just packaging the NIL deal right now?

Looking good Billy Ray.

This is how big time programs and serious head coaches operate. Always be bringing in better talent. Always be recruiting over players. That's why we ended up with McCord, after all.

Great decision by Fran to pursue another QB. The program will assuredly be better off for it.

Wishful thinking or "hoping", however there are many similarities, so how can you assume it is an absolutely not? Do you not hope those 2 are equivalents? So you hope Angeli is not as good as McCord? Why?
I hope our next qb is as good as McCord, Im struggling to figure out why a fan would not want that...
What a lame response.

Should I have said I hope Angeli is better than McCord, ok I hope so.

Or i hope Angeli is not as good as McCord? Why?

Absolutely not in response to a "hope" is downright weird.

It’s natural to compare the next QB to the last but it’s not fair considering Kyle McCord was /is as good as it gets.
Angeli and Collins won’t be McCord so let’s let them be themselves and hope they crush it too.

Watching all his highlights at UND, this kid has some mobility. Does very well navigating pocket, decent scrambler, and picked up good yards on some draws. He is more mobile then McCord and likely less mobile then Rickie of course. But he is no statue back there. I mean, I know he’s the shiny new object, but I really feel like he is the perfect fit for our system. And most importantly he has played games with legit weight on his shoulders and didn’t falter. I’m very very bullish on him, more so then Collins (which is not apples to apples, Collins just doesn’t have tape, so naturally I like the guy who has some tape)

fran doesn't strike me as a guy telling Angeli to wait until Saturday to make a decision to essentially force RC and JW to stay

It's possible Angeli commits today or tomorrow but what we know about Fran is he's transparent. The QB room will know what's going on before we do and FB will do right by the room

Notre Dame doesn't beat Penn State last season in the Orange Bowl if "Peanut Butter" Angelli doesn't lead them down for that field goal before halftime once Leonard was shaken up. I've seen every snap he has played at ND. He is not leaving ND to be a backup somewhere else. If he comes here, Fran must be giving him some good assurance that he will be QB1.

Yeah, Fran was upfront with the QB room about Angeli from the start. He will challenge Collins to step up and compete to keep QB1.
