Yall rly underestimating his movement
Lighten up Frances, he was being sarcastic. Good lord.Lies, stop making stuff up. All great QBs were revered and all poor QBs were questioned for their talent.
You act like I personally know each and every poster. Without an emoji how the heck am I suppose to know?Lighten up Frances, he was being sarcastic. Good lord.
Glad you were here to set the record straight though! Appreciate it

Easy now, who said they had anything in common? I just want Rickie to get some run with in game experience. Keep his head in the game rather just holding a clipboard on the sideline.Doug Womack has absolutely nothing in common to Ricki Collins. ZERO
I agree but why mention a 5-9 159 bug as a comparison who only runs the option and never threw a pass to a 6-3 drop back passer?Easy now, who said they had anything in common? The Tennessee offense is completely unproven. They have a new QB, New RB, a whole new WR group with only 7 scholarship players, and are replacing 3 OLINE. The backbone of their team is the Defense. We need the OL to push and move their DL and just lean on them I would drain the clock vs Tennessee don’t give their offense the ball back . We will need plenty of long drives to beat this team . I think we beat them by 1
If Collins was really great Fran wouldn't have brought Angeli in and had an open competition. There had to be things they weren't happy with in the spring.Operate in what way? Doing what gives us the best chance to win? He has no interest in that?
If the competition was close one guy could offer the higher upside while the other could offer more immediate results.
From the reports we were hearing Collins was going to win the job. I hope it was hands down Angeli as QB1. But that isn't what we were being told.
See if you can edit the post and fix the font.Meant to use the sarcasm font.
If you can hit a player like Cook 20 yards down the field in stride, you probably have a TD. Same with a player like James out of the backfield. It's putting the ball where your playmakers can make an average pass a big play. That's fair. But my point is that Angeli has the requisite arm strength, it is table stakes, a minimum threshold. This isn't some guy who can't make throws; by all accounts, he throws the ball exceptionally well -- with impressive accuracy and command in terms of making his reads.
Collins being able to throw it a little farther doesn't mean much. I always get a kick out of when people get worked up because a QB can throw the ball 50+ yards from his knees, because of what that means for arm strength. Who throws the ball from their knees, that isn't a football play.
I'm not saying that Angeli can't make the throws you are describing. I think he's going to be just fine. He doesn't have a "weak" arm, maybe just not quite as much depth as Collins, but so what?
Again, this is a guy who is similar to McCord in many respects, but sounds like a better, more effective runner.
Just my opinion based of off previous comments that Fran has made. He thinks the QB is second under him and needs the QB to be that guy. That being said, I don't think Fran will use both quarterbacks in a 2 back system. Now, will the leash on Angeli be shorter than McCord last year, of course. But he's not going to put a QB in the position to constantly watch over his shoulder either. He's going to give Angeli the time he needs. We have no way of knowing what will even happen game one. .if its 20-20 at the half I don't think we see QB2. If we are losing 20-3 then I suspect, we will. If its 7-7 than it goes could either way.
Syracuse fans have always hated black QBs.
Both QBs will be ready to play against Tennessee. I think Angeli will have a quick hook if things aren't going well.
Just an absurd post. Not sure how you can apply your logic for 'Syracuse fans' broadly. And the school has a history of embracing black athletes far earlier than the vast majority of our rivals.Syracuse fans have always hated black QBs.

Part of that WR room also got arrested 2 weeks ago for speeding with a suspended license. Gave the cop a passport ha. Local judge already dropped charges but still it’s a distractionThe Tennessee offense is completely unproven. We have a good group of playmakers and an OC that knows how to use them. I'm optimistic that we'll move the ball as long as Angeli can distribute it wisely. Dunno how Angeli will do in the red zone, but the elder Nixon did well last season putting players in a position where they could succeed. We'll know pretty soon if Angeli has the poise we hope he has.If you can hit a player like Cook 20 yards down the field in stride, you probably have a TD. Same with a player like James out of the backfield. It's putting the ball where your playmakers can make an average passage big play.

Couldn't be further from the reality of the situation.Fran doesn't operate this way. Once Angeli was signed he was the guy. He didn't come here to sit.
