I don't expect the same lightning fast release from Angeli but he's more mobile, so that can take some pressure off of the line too. It may lead to a little less rhythm, but scrambling can also drive a defense batty as initially covered receivers break open and make plays just as a defense thinks they have a play stopped.Well said. Hard to overstate how import McCord’s lighting quick throwing motion was to the offense last year. It took a ton of pressure off a suspect line and gave the team a real rhythm on all those long scoring drives. Especially with a revamped line this year, we need someone making the correct pre-snap reads to get the ball to playmakers in space ASAP. That will have its own benefit as you mention above, as well as that of taking pressure off the front and opening up the run game and deeper passing concepts.
