Or, because he’s smooth and not crunchy.Because of how he spreads the offense, amirite?

We should have font for that.I could tell Chip's post was sarcasm.
The only ones i know of that are making it a controversy right now are Axe and Javon Edmonds and they had very limited information to judge. So maybe trust Fran and what he's seen and decided. My only concern is that as soon as things get rocky with Angeli, will the team start clamoring for Ricky? That's the downside of having a quarterback controversy.
seems you neglected to use it here.We should have font for that.
As for giving a nut, I guess you are saying you like the "crunchy" peanut butter angeliBoy did we get spoiled fast! I love it! We would have given a nut for Collin or “PBJ time” any year but the last one. The culture changed overnight. Thank you Fran!
Normally I would agree but Arch redshirted and then waited his redshirt freshman year. Collins waiting two years would leave him only one season to start. That's a big difference. If Manning can sit for two years, I think Ricky can wait too.
If it doesn't look like he's going to start any games by mid-season, don't be surprised if he pulls a DeVito.Normally I would agree but Arch redshirted and then waited his redshirt freshman year. Collins waiting two years would leave him only one season to start. That's a big difference.
Nah. Devito pulled out after 4 games to save a year of eligibility so he could play elsewhere for an additional year. Collins already used his redshirt. Collins needs to stay, get better, prove he's a team player. Maybe he gets a shot to play if Angeli falters or gets injured. Those would be huge opportunities for him he would otherwise miss if he left. Maybe if he doesn't play at all we give him a shot in the bowl game to prove himself to SU or others, but wouldn't be surprised if he could leave before then if he doesn't get much of a shot in the season. If it doesn't look like he's going to start any games by mid-season, don't be surprised if he pulls a DeVito.
Need to make sure Jakhari is ready to play, just in case...
In fairness, Gadsen and Pena were coming off injuries and Meeks was a complete unknown. Anyone who says they predicted how this was going to play out last year with those three is lying to themselves. We caught lightning in bottle with a gunslinger who had an axe to grind with the entire country. We are getting a guy who clearly has some skill, but has way less of a proven track record than McCord. While I have some faith in the WR crew this year, there is no proven veteran talent in Gadsden, Meeks, or Pena to help him out. To be thrown into the fire on the road against a team like Tennessee is a one hell of a tough task out of the gate. You may recall McCord looking a little shaky in the early going against Ohio in the Dome.
I hope this does not turn into everyone immediately demanding to see Collins at the first sign of adversity. This game could go a lot of different ways, and a rough start would not be out of the question at all. He could still go on to be excellent once he settles in, even with some shaky stuff in the first game.
I hear you but when Javon Edmonds speaks, I listen. The only ones i know of that are making it a controversy right now are Axe and Javon Edmonds and they had very limited information to judge. So maybe trust Fran and what he's seen and decided.
Now If both QB's truly are as close as indicated by Fran and the offense looks stagnant for multiple games, there will be some locker room rumblings and certainly the fans and media will be clamoring. But I think Fran has a good handle of controlling his locker room. Fran can and will make a change if its necessary, but can control his players until that point. But I don't think we'll have to witness that as I think Angeli does well for us this season.
