Quadir Copeland/NC St

To remind some people from Scott11 who also had insider information on Q.

A while back I argued with Dasher about what kind of kid Q is and argued that Dasher was unfairly labeling Copeland.. I'm here to admit I was wrong. What I learned after the fact was that he was tremendously difficult in a number of ways and disrespectful. He was not welcome back here. He didn't have a choice whether or not to leave Cuse. Suffice to say Siena was also not an option. And I'm told his transfer options were also limited by his transcript and he's not thrilled where he ended up. A case of a kid who blew a great opportunity.

didnt say they play ineligible kids. but kids certainly xfer to schools with less strict requirements.

That's very true but you can't blow off school and still be eligible. I've dealt with compliance offices.

When people say he stopped going to class there's this perception that he was flunking out or had bad grades. He couldn't have transferred to McNeese state and been eligible to play if he didn't have the ncaa mandated credits and gpa standing based on progress towards graduation. That's a fact.

He may have stopped going to class because he knew he was done at Syracuse., but he somehow stayed eligible. Maybe he took summer school idk.

We recruited from HS and had in our program both Q and Kadary. Our best transfer guard in the same time frame is probably JJ … or Nait George.

Florida’s acceptance rate is in the low 20s.

It has become a difficult school to get into.

I guess their standards have changed.
Yes, they have. I live in Tampa and have a teenage son about ready to apply to colleges. UF is not easy to get into at all (especially out of state). Hell, they're ranked top 10 in public universities in the country and I low 30's overall.
