Assuming Marrone gets fired from the Bills with their new owner after this year. Would you as a Syracuse fan take Marrone back as HC assuming their was interest?

I like Shafer but this guy will have more 20 point blowout losses in 18 games than Doug Marrone had in 4 years. Shafer is a good guy but he doesn't give off confidence. Our offense is a crap show and that is embarrassing.
Marrone may be available after season's end.

Yes, but he's not coming back as long as Gross is here...and I'm fine with choosing Marrone over DG any day.

That's what we've come to, huh?

No. Marrone doesn't want to be here. He doesn't want to be a college coach.

If LVille can take Petrino back , we sure as he11 can take Marrone back.

Personally, I don't think he is ever coming back to college ball.

Hes not getting fired unless the Bills really stuff the bed.
The Bills QB play will cost a team with 10 win talent to win 6-8 games. Marrone is likely gone unless he blows the doors off the new owner who like anybody will want his own guys.

If he'd come back, of course. However, he's done with college ball.

Answer: Yes. He may be a meathead and everything else, but if you're offering me shafer/gmc vs. DM/Hackett, I'll take the latter and not lose a wink of sleep.

And how is that Marrone's fault? The GM reached on a mediocre QB. Put a good QB on the bills and there probably 4-0 right now. Not sure how firing Marrone would bring a good QB to the Bills.

Marrone took EJ Manuel in the first round and this past draft went all in for this upcoming season by trading 2015 1st round pick for Sammy Watkins.
Doug knows he is on the hot seat right now and If they crap out to 6-10 Doug will likely be fired.

Those are the GM's decisions not Marrone's.

Yes. The one thing he showed was that he wasn't afraid to change/adjust. He made changes to his staff. He adjusted the offense two weeks before the season started. He installed a new goal line package midway through the season. He even changed his sideline demeanor from melancholy to animated. I'll take a guy that's willing to make changes, even if he makes some mistakes along the way.

All that being said, he's a pro guy. He'll never go back to college again.

Look, before we go all saint Marrone. He won with g-rob players. And he didn't win much. Our schedule is so much more difficult now. Is he better today than SS, yes of course. But I want someone who wants to be here. And Doug doesn't.

Why are you forgetting the Bills have a new owner and if this team doesn't do well why would he keep either the current GM or HC. Marrone and Whaley's fate are likely tied to the 2014 season.

I can see it now. He gives an emotional speech about it being his dream job... he has a binder, so we know there's a plan... he talks about Syracuse pride and New York city...
