I find it a lot harder to actually pay attention to the game while being there...So might not be what everyone else saw

-I'll be the first to say that Triche looked fantastic, was aggressive and strong with the ball. He was playing with a purpose. He and Waiters played well with each other--great to see.

-Waiters played well again. A few meh plays but all in all another solid performance. Kid just knows how to score. Looking for his teammates much more than last year, but that's still a work in practice

-Scoop was in la la land. Hopefully he got it out of his system

-MCW was ok, looked better with the ball. You can see he oozes with talent. I knew he was skinny, but until you see him next to Triche and Waiters you don't know just how skinny. He'll never be big, but hopefully he can put on a few lbs.

-Fab wasn't great, but at least he was active. Huge presence down low, he makes smaller people pay. Offense is still behind but with work it will hopefully come

-Rak needs to learn to stay on his feet, counted a bunch of times when the offensive guy got him in the air. Pretty good finisher around the basket, lots of bigs have trouble finishing early in their careers.

-Southy was fantastic again. Hopefully he can keep it up, if so yet another weapon defenses have to account for

-Kjo was great early, huge for us if he hits his jumpers. Would like for him to add the mid range off the bounce, would be a great weapon for him.

-Fair was Fair. Love him

-I know it was just Manhattan, but some good signs moving forward

I also loved the fact that Waiters and Triche looked like they had good chemistry together. Didn't see that at all last year. It looks like Dion is buying in and that just raises this team to whole different level.

I thought Dion looked great tonight ... and happy.

Yeah, he might not have figured everything out yet, but he's getting there. He looks great so far.

He passes to Triche now! Last year he would have rather eaten a pile of broken glass.

He knows he'll get his minutes and he knows he's gonna be a go to guy in March. He's next.

...and Triche looks happy at PG...liked end of first half...Triche holding for last shot; begins to move and passes to Dion for a 3...in and out...but those two were like music tonight...never thought I would see that

And all those that were putting down the idea of Triche at PG-------

imo, Melo was dominant. Just an amazing player.

It's great to see that he can switch on screens at the top of the key, and still bounce down to the post quick enough to stop the entry from the wing. But I suppose Melo bounced around the perimeter and closed out on the wing a bit too often today, and obviously he should never try to draw charges at the top of the key. I'd rather see him focus on the paint and body positioning a bit more, instead of showing off his impressive mobility, but it is nice to see that Melo has extra defensive range for when we need it.

Xmas hasn't quite been as above the rim as he looked in the MM circus. He and Melo both had somewhat contested layups early that ought to have been dunks. Not too many easy layups in the BE.

I liked how you pointed out Christmas ability to finish around the basket. He has alot more offensive talent than I thought.

thing that stood out most to me was definitely southerland. he finally looks like he is getting "it". he didn't shoot until he hit that 3 with 40 seconds left in the second half. he realizes he can do a lot of things besides shoot, and only take the shots when they come to you. he challenged shots, got in passing lanes, moved the ball, and yes even rebounded. I am still weary of him doing these things against bigger more physical players, but he wasn't doing a lot of these things even against the lemoynes.

He also looks quite active in the paint which was a concern of mine. Challenging, moving REALLY well, etc. Good to see.

No telling that MCW doesn't get big. Same size as Landry Fields out of HS, and take a look at landry his junior year. May take 3-4 years, but it seems like these guys are maturing mostly in their early 20s rather than their late teens. Kris is a good example of this. Kris looks much bigger in his arms shoulders and chest. I don't think its as much working out as it is naturally filling out.
