Quote of the day! "this is disgusting!"

pics or it didnt happen... not showing a lot of the crowd on tv...

The announcers did allude to the amount of Orange in the stands early in the game.

Not showing SJU students because of the Laurie pictures. They snuck them in once on a KJO free throw, but that was it.

You could clearly hear the Lets Go Orange after the dunks. Great job taking over MSG once again fellas, wish I could be there too!

Briefly showed a sign that read" Boeheim knew"
The director cut away right away.

The Orange crowd is a major part of the story.
ESPN needed to show some wide shots.

As for the signs & pix alluding to the Fine scandal...ESPN of all people should expect it and know how to deal with it.
Treat your viewers as something other than morons.
If a sign gets in...explain it once or twice and move on.
That kind iof heckling is part of sports today.
Stop ignoring reality.

Saw it. And it was in a crowd of SU supporters. Orange shirts anyways. who would do that?

They had some ridiculous attempts at signs. One kid had an orange "Canada's Team" sign in the student section. A friend of mine actually brought a cool SU one that said "Boeheim is God'sgift"

I mean, after today can St. John's fans even pretend that they are New York's team? It might be a stretch for them to say 'We have a large fan presence in New York'.

I was at the game today and it was completely embarrassing. Looking around the crowd, I think it would be conservative to say 70-75% of the crowd was Orange but as you walked around MSG, I would say it was 20:1 in terms of shirts you saw out there.

This is exactly right. My friend and I estimated conservatively 60-40 SU pregame. As things got rolling, it became clear it was more like 70-75 SU ratio. SJ fans largely confined to student sections and timid types in civilian dress.

After Dion's dunk, he whipped the crowd into its highest crescendo of the day, and it wasn't even a LGO chant. It was simply loud, approving noise that one might have expected from the glory days of the Knicks.

Almost enough to make you feel bad for the Redmen. Almost.

On the way into MSG, I overheard a woman who was a ST Johns fan looking at all the SU fans and said "this is disgusting!"

I love it!
She had better get used to it when the Orangemen come to the big city and play the Johnnies in the future. Jimmy is already on record for saying he wants to schedule St Johns and Georgetown after we go ACC. It ain't over lady.!!SUball
