To push this discussion in a different direction (slightly)… In general, the sport of football goes as the QB goes. If you have the better QB in the matchup and teams are even remotely close to even otherwise, better QB wins.

This year we have Kyle McCord, and he’s unquestionably a top 15 QB in the country (and quite likely a lot better than that) which means we have the biggest advantage in the sport almost every single week. I have no doubt that on that metric alone, Cuse will be ranked at some point this season.

With a lot of teams in 22nd-35th lost this week, I think our ranking will be somewhere between 25th and 28th. Most likely 27th.

Yeah only Michigan lost as far as the last handful of top 25 teams, Vandy might take their place followed by Washington State and SU at 26th and 27th with so many of the others receiving votes losing

Just like Notre Dame losing to Northern Illinois and LSU losing to what has turned out to be a crap USC team, we would love to get that game back and be 6-0, but gotta move forward. Plus Stanford without their QB is way crappier then they were

Been a crazy season for college football.

Curious if a 10-2 SU goes to the playoffs? Miami, Clemson and SMU could have just 1 loss. It's too bad the ACC and SEC don't play 9 conference games because that would have helped.

UNLV win is looking better and better...if we beat Pitt and they beat #15 Boise on Friday, we may shoot up the rankings

I don't think Old Mississippi(5-2) deserves to be in top 25. They just had their second loss this week and their only P4 wins are against Wake Forest and South Carolina. The other three wins are against G6 and FCS.
