They prob don't touch a kid who is involved with shoplifting but if this is the only dumb mistake an otherwise good kid made maybe Dino gives him a chance.
Stealing is stealing but shoplifting from the mall is much more forgivable than burglarizing another student's room

They still need to sit a season. Qaadir Sheppard is an example. When players are dismissed like that I would presume there are different eligibility rules in play when the schools are considering those players or is the NCAA perspective that it is a form of a "transfer"? In which case transfer rules apply. Does anyone know?
I'd have to see a blurry phone photo to judge the security guard's height in relation to Holmes before making any decisions on pursuing him. They prob don't touch a kid who is involved with shoplifting but if this is the only dumb mistake an otherwise good kid made maybe Dino gives him a chance.

Thanks for the info! I thought that might be the case. They still need to sit a season. Qaadir Sheppard is an example.
2016: Transferred to Ole Miss in August ... Sat out the season due to NCAA transfer rules.
SYRACUSE (2015): One of 15 true freshmen to play for the Orange ... Appeared in nine games as a reserve defensive end and special teams player ... At Virginia, picked off quarterback Matt Johns late in the first half to record his first career interception ... Made his first career tackle at Louisville (11/7).
tl;dr Why did PSU take Holmes despite his arrest? He's fast.
My guess: $51,572 + stipendwonder how much financial aid he gets there as a walk-on
