From the little I have seen of him, he can fly. Definitely BCS material, at least as far as athletic ability goes.

I saw him a couple times last year. On a loaded team he was the best player on the field. Definite FBS speed. Against Corcoran he took a pitch to the shortside and outran the entire D for a 80-90 yd TD. It will be interesting to see if he carries more of a load this year with a new QB and his brother lost to graduation.

At 14 I knew that I wouldn't get charged as an adult if I messed up. At 14 I didn't have the slightest idea what society expected from me or how to acheive it.

I guess to each their own but I always considered myself to have grown up pretty young minus married parents or much adult supervision. Not sure if it's the same type of situation w/ this kid but at 23 years old and on you'd probably like me as a person and member of society. From 14 to 17 I was a clueless kid that made some dumb choices that luckily didn't come back to bite me in the future.

In six games, he has rushed for 949 yards, 16 touchdowns, and is averaging a robust 8.7 yards per carry. The 5-foot-11, 190 pound back says he holds a Syracuse offer. We will be looking to see how he stacks up with the other top backs in the region..

Is it because of the numbers at the back position that SU isn't interested in Rouse or grades? The kid has put up some monster numbers and the quality of football isn't that bad, is it and if it were, is it because Howard is bigger and a junior?
