Recruiting 2022-2024

Eye has Notre Dame at the top of his list on Inside Lacrosse. It seems sort of like a waste for someone with his skill set to go to ND.

Let’s see if there is a Big difference like there was last year.. lol

the open secret among coaches is that this class is short on high-end talent. you could just tell in that IL article that a lot of them were straining to say something positive about the class as a whole. Duenkel is really the only one who i look at and go "yeah, that kid is going to be an all-american in college." Eye is one of the best offensive defensemen in years but his on-ball D and communication needs work. I have not heard much about this Jeffery kid, on film he looks...fine? Caden Harshbarger out of Florida and Sean Browne out of Texas are two I have my eye on. Eye-popping athleticism

I'm personally of the opinion that this class is underrated. There aren't any can't miss uber recruits, but I think it's deeper than the average class overall. I like it much better than the 2023 class which hasn't been graded nearly as harshly. Obviously neither class is close to the 2022 class, which IMO is one of the strongest in memory.

This guy could use a geography lesson as the Mason-Dixon line runs between Maryland and PA. With 4 Virginia players, it sounds more like a Potomac river boundary. Even there, without any SSSA, Paul VI or Episcopal players named - it sounds more like an outside the Washington beltway boundary or something.
It seems a little surprising that there isn't a Georgian on the list.

It appears that there is a Sean Siracusa at Centennial in the 2024 class. He doesn't seem to have any highlights on youtube though. He does get a nice evaluation on insidelacrosse:

Cade McNeil, M, North Paulding was named a US HS AA from GA. He has a long spring highlight video up on hudl (15 minutes). I think we only have the patience for his 3 goals against Centennial:

Rankings 2-10

Kyle Colsey at number four. Hopefully SU has a shot here. Not sure what the dynamics are with his brother at UVA but you never know.

Dunkel at number nine. Leading scorer for the nations number one team last year as just a sophomore. Why so low?

Laake drops from number one to number seven.

NLF powers are hung up on his size. No offensive player in the 24 class plays like Duenkle.

Spencer Ford has played really well this summer. He has put up some highlights recently:

NLF Rankings is associated with the National Federation Lacrosse (NLF) clubs. The founding clubs are Baltimore Crabs, Big 4 HHH, Laxachusetts, Leading Edge, LI Express, and Team 91 LI. It lists "affiliate clubs" as Denver Elite, Eclipse, Madlax, Prime Time, Resolute, Sweetlax, Thunder LB3, and West Coast Starz. Duenkel plays for Next Level which is not associated with NLF. Not saying that is the reason... but not saying it isn't...

I'm more excited to see Ty Xander's list on IL. There's always faults with it and it also isn't perfect, but at least he doesn't have a direct connection to clubs (as far as I know). I feel like Ty might use HS performance more in his rankings than NLF, so my guess would be Duenkel is higher on his list and I think maybe even #1.

Agree. NLF will always have one of their guys as the number 1. Duenkle also played for Madlax prior to going to Next Level. Madlax owner was not happy that he selected St. John’s over Landon and was not happy when he left his club. A lot of politics go into these ranking. Duenkle also sat out this summer due to injury which I’m sure didn’t help.

NLF is way too high on these Eclipse kids. Good lord

also it looks like John Draley has taken Cuse off his "schools considering" list on IL
