McCullough has been talking about playing at SU one season since he committed. Sounds like his mind has been made up for a long time. We have seen many times that getting drafted has nothing to do with being NBA ready, it's all based on athleticism and potential. IMO if he puts up 10 and 5 he's likely gone...and if he plays 30 minutes a game he should have no problem doing that. Given how many times the staff has been bitten by early defections they didn't really expect, they likely want to bring in the extra player this time in anticipation that someone (most likely CMc) will leave. I think they would like to get both Diagne and Bryant if possible...though from what I've seen I'm not sold on Bryant as a forward.I agree OE , would love to take 2 bigs but someone would have to leave to make that happen. I like McCullough but I still don't think he will be a one and done and I can't see anyone else on roster going early to NBA. With all that talent on the roster I do think we could see someone transfer due to lack of PT.
Diagne would spot minutes at the 4. Bryant is strictly a 5 at this point, not only for SU but everybody else.McCullough has been talking about playing at SU one season since he committed. I've seen Diagne play and would not want him on the wing in the zone. He's 240 lbs and will get bigger/heavier. He has good mobility for a center but on the wing as a 4 he would get exposed.Diagne would spot minutes at the 4. Bryant is strictly a 5 at this point, not only for SU but everybody else.
only room for oneMcCullough has been talking about playing at SU one season since he committed. Sounds like his mind has been made up for a long time. So you're saying there's a mystery commit...only room for one

One or two bigs and a wing work. I just hope the "big is an impact big for the team e.g. boards and or points. From what I understand it's looking like this class could round out with either 2 bigs or 1 big and a wing. Hmmmmmm.

I'll explain things more clearer since I don't feel like getting into a back and forth. Yes there is one spot left at the moment and whoever commits next will obviously have us at the limit. As noted above, room is expected to open up with somebody going pro(CMac most likely) or by transfer. Staff has targeted numerous bigs and have inquired about several wings as well. If any of those players are still available during the spring you telling me with how aggressive they are with current targets now that they wouldn't do the same then? That's why I said this class could round out with 5 players when all said and done. Never said anything was going to be complete like that now. I guess I might as well keep certain thoughts to myself. From what I understand it's looking like this class could round out with either 2 bigs or 1 big and a wing. Hmmmmmm.
Exactly. Even though we probably dodged a bullet by not getting this kid, but I remember Katin Reinhardt was popular discussion with numerous fans. He was very interested in coming but at the time the roster looked stacked with guards that was suppose to return the following season. Waiters, Triche, MCW, Cooney, and Mookie was also expected to get a 5th yr. Turns out Waiters goes bonkers and becomes a top 5 pick and Mookie never gets the 5th yr, which now had the team short handed with guards leaving Cooney as the only one off the bench. It's always important to keep all options open because you'll never know who is leaving or returning each season.I feel like we go through this every year regarding scholarships and there not being enough room, and though we only have one more there are so many things that can change in a year which was seen quite clearly this year.
what about a big wing???????From what I understand it's looking like this class could round out with either 2 bigs or 1 big and a wing. Hmmmmmm.
Or a big thigh, or better yet a big breast.what about a big wing???????

A "big breast"?those are the kind that gravity pulls down first. And we all know that gravity is a bitch. No matter how perky they start out they will point true south by their 40s especially if they ARE 40s.Or a big thigh, or better yet a big breast.

Notable performances in the afternoon games. Howard played 14 minutes and scored 8pts on 4/9 shooting. Govan had a big game with 20pts and 8rbs against Jamal Murray's team.http://cusebballrecruiting.blogspot.com/2014/05/510-news-and-notes.html
Updates for today. Frankie played 9 minutes and had 2pts and 2ast in limited action. Diagne and Govan went head to head with Diagne's team coming out on top. Thomas Bryant and big George had good games earlier as well.
Do we have any staff at his games babysitting him? This guy is getting more and more impressive.Notable performances in the afternoon games. Howard played 14 minutes and scored 8pts on 4/9 shooting. Govan had a big game with 20pts and 8rbs against Jamal Murray's team.
