Recruiting Updates

It's the little things. Murray controls the tempo, pushes the pace when he wants, sort of shovel hands it off to another guard and has the mind to completely pick off the defender creating a wide open look for the shooter. He took the defender out of the play. Shot just missed though, but wide open.

Beautiful finger roll! He missed a three, kept with the play and got a loose ball rebound and makes the pretty lay in. Just one of those guys you would assume is a coach's son.

Tight game now. Teams are trading threes but CIA Bounce is now down 4.

His team down late, starts the break and gets another assist to cut it to two. Now tied with 3 minutes to go. Good game. Both teams have done a nice job creating easy looks. Murray leads the way with 15 points so far.

Bounce, after surrendering a decent sized halftime cushion, have taken the lead back by two now. Murray just cruising, probably has at least a few assists and rebounds as well.

Bounce wins 74-69.
Gill-Caesar had 16 points, plenty of work done at the foul line. Murray ends up with 18 points, a game high. Box score to follow here. He did so many things very well, but you wouldn't know it. Effortless, like it's nothing new to him.

Was a lot closer than the score show. Both teams battled, must have been a good amount of lead changes.

Official line on Jamal Murray is 16 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal, zero turnovers and that's with him bringing up the ball the majority of possessions. 6 of 10, 4 of 7 from deep. Led the team in points, rebounds and assists. Most important thing is he took over. Down late, he storms them back to tie the game. Tied with 39 seconds, he shot a three with tremendous confidence. Didn't wait for the shot clock to wind down. Just stopped and popped.

Great write up...thanks for posting. SU needs to sign Murray!! Battle recruitment will be a circus. Let's use our Bounce connections and Ennis good will to make a major move on this kid.

Tee just getting done watching The Last Samurai!
Ha, niceeeee. Good stuff, right?
Tee your killing it Brother!
Thanks for all the updates tee! Doing a great job. But there is no such thing as too much ice cream cake! :)
Oh, believe me. It was so good today.

Hey, thanks for saying fellas! And I agree about Murray. Love Battle's game but if it becomes a circus, wouldn't want the trouble if we are solid with both. To me, both are such high caliber players that neither would be a disappointment.

Great stuff as always Tee. It's crazy how much Ennis like qualities Murray has. He recently measured at 6'5, 196, 6'8 wingspan at the Nike Hoop Summit and he's only probably 16. Just imagine him in a few years. I know Red likes him a lot, so hopefully the staff will start to make a big push soon.

You got it brother. Murray is going to be a beast at the next level. Imagine the length in the back court with him or Battle, Joseph, Malachi and Buss? There are no passing lanes. We've taken them all away. ;)
