Refs were s****

Well at least the main one figured out his microphone wasn't working by the 2nd half. That was really annoying.
I honestly thought that my streaming service crapped out.

It has to be intentional. You can't be a FBS referee crew, and be that incompetent.

ACC have had poor officiating for a while. Unfortunately I do not see it changing.

We heard you on TV at the start of the game. Loved that it was an away game and ours are the fans you hear!
To be fair, there was a crowd mic right in front of us that I think was intended to pick up the student section. But still.

I find it shocking that a league based out of Greensboro North Carolina with a main sponsor of Bojangles would have incompetent refs. I feel like I’m watching reruns of the Andy Griffith show every time I watch an ACC referee crew. It’s so bush league.

I recall a blatant hold where the Ohio OL had the SU defender around the neck and took him down.
I believe it was Chestnut being choked out / held and Kingsley was pointing it out at end of play to ref, while also getting hurt on play by being clipped from behind

Meanwhile, Buttgers only had 1 penalty called on them during their game. After last season, I wonder if the officials have adopted a "let the play and keep the game moving" philosophy?

Was that when Garrett dropped the interception?

If not, there was an obvious hold on that play too.
Maybe. The hold I'm thinking of appeard to be on the right side of their line (RT perhaps), and the play went to the left.

Their right tackle almost broke a couple of necks.

Would have been a different play, then. Hold was by the RT, but the pass went to the right too.

Yep, and how about the multiple head-lock style holding by their OT's. Such an easy call but they looked the other way.

since we only committed 4 penalties I’m thinking the other one I didn’t like was the roughing the passer call. I thought that was a pretty weak call. I’ll have to go back and watch.

my in game recollection is really fuzzy today but I seem to recall one of their WRs basically tackling our guy to ‘block’ him and I was astonished there was no call.
