Ask again when we’re trying to fight off other P5 schools to retain westry, starling and freeman. retention of key players is the issue.
How are Westry and JJ going anywhere? They have used up their one time get out of jail cards. We really lost one guy and that was a special sort of situation and one that by the way, AW wouldn't have helped with in my opinion. Besides his talking about it I mean.

I personally, with little evidence, that Weinstein was never really stopping his NIL support for SU, it just had to take on a different shape. I could be wrong, but I bet someone knows:)

I worry that these mental health waivers will be handed out like candy because it is so broad and loosely defined. I don’t understand why it’s even valid. If your mental health is suffering at school X, you’re free to leave like anyone else. Just be prepared to sit a year.

We just got some guys through the portal. I would guess they got NIL. We got Freeman. Did he not have NIL offers?
What is the going rate for kids out of high school? I’d think experience and productive portal transfers will command a lot more.

He stopped his NIL support of Syracuse athletics at the request of Syracuse University.

Do you worry about dying from a perforated bowel after taking a massive dump as well?

Right, that’s the public story, but is it the real one and is a way for him to save face. After all he started it up under a different form soon afterwards.

I just think the University said “something‘s not right and you need to change it to this. Oh and to save face please characterize it the way u see fit”.

I have no evidence. I think we get very little of the real story, probably is way different than what we hear publically, as usual.

That’s from the horse’s mouth.

Why should they have to sit? College should be about academics. Aren’t they STUDENT athletes?

They'd have to sit out a year so they're not going anywhere. It's a goofy lead post anyway though. 2 of the kids are coming off injury and McLeod has averaged 4 points 2.5 rbs over 2 seasons. I think I'll take the wait and see approach. All 3 have a lot to prove.

The way we're moving as a program, there needs to be some attrition in the roster going forward. Doesn't necessarily denote a negative actually; a healthy inflow and outflow seems good.
