Remember when the ACC and Adam Weitsman killed our recruiting?

They'd have to sit out a year so they're not going anywhere. It's a goofy lead post anyway though. 2 of the kids are coming off injury and McLeod has averaged 4 points 2.5 rbs over 2 seasons. I think I'll take the wait and see approach. All 3 have a lot to prove.
And Freeman and Moore?

These guys were wanted by other elite programs. We got them. That hasn’t happened recently. How we play on the court will be determined, but this is our best recruiting offseason since the early 2010’s.

obviously I was talking about the portal kids.

Freeman is a great get and the way we should be recruiting. I thank the new assistant on that grab.

I'm not that high on Moore.

I wasn’t, but now I am going to.
One of my biggest worries along with being impaled or beheaded because I’m horse and I stick my head outside the trailer while moving…

If Westry wasn’t coming off injury, he’d probably be a star player at Auburn or headed to the NBA if he was leaving.

Guys get hurt in sports, not that big of a deal IMO. If something hadn’t gone wrong, guys wouldn’t be transferring in the first place - in most cases.

Can we let it go re Weitsman? There are clearly 2 schools of fans here, and those who believe he was an asset will never be swayed.

I will always believe that whatever success we have could only have been amplified by Weitsman. Doesn't mean we can't still get good players.
No. I won’t let it go. A lot of fallacy’s have been said on this board by our fans, the media, and a former SU player. A PR war was waged that wasn’t even remotely close to the truth and I’m angry about it. If I had to read 3 weeks worth of stories on Syracuse.com and other sites the naysayers can be forced to read my well informed opinion.

Totally agree, I think that a compromise could have been made with Adam so that he could continue aiding in his. IL efforts, but my understanding is that has come to an end and won’t be continued. That bridge has been burned at this point. Adam will continue to be a fan from afar, no season tickets, no private box and no NIL.

Some people look for the negative in everything.

But I digress ...

I am, probably, too high on Westry. BUT, I cannot wait to see him play for Cuse. Him and Starling on the court together is something we haven't seen in a LOOOOOONG time. It remains to be seen how it translates with Red running the show (in game) and how these guys mesh, but I was so high on Westry in his original recruitment and now we get to see him in Orange.

I like Moore. Think hes going to be excellent

Whatever other skills Moore possesses, he has the most important skill in basketball, shooting. He seemed to be a decent enough athlete as well, with a pretty well rounded game. His elite skill is shooting, though.

Hes an athletic Buddy

I personally, with little evidence, that Weinstein was never really stopping his NIL support for SU, it just had to take on a different shape. I could be wrong, but I bet someone knows:)

Harvey Weinstein has never an SU supporter NIL or not. He's a UB guy.
