IB - I'm big into mtn. biking. You didn't happen to be at the Vt Mtn Bike Fest in July were you? I've also been meaning to get out to Ithaca for the last 2 years to do some biking - maybe you can show me around 1 weekend when winter ends.

Absolutely, shindagin hollow is the spot in Ithaca.. Great spot some great stunts if you like that, I stay away from them at point as I get older. It's a great spot though.

Didn't make it to the mt bike festival but spend a lot of time in vt over the summer, we have a camp on lake champlain just north of Burlington. A ton of riding in that area. The mt bike festival was in waterbury? No

Arby's

Probably shouldn't admit this, but up until a few months ago I didn't realize Arby's was named based on the initials of Roast Beef. :(

Careful if you stay at IB's house he only serves Clif bars and Nutella

Trey sucks!! I also serve humus, tofu, and sprouts for you. Hate cliff bars. Good book though on how that biz started.

I didn't know until you just wrote it. :bat:

The people of Boston and new England for the most part are the least warm people I have ever encountered

Go to Ireland sometime.

Okay, I'm feeling a lot less stupid. I was in my office when someone mentioned that and everyone else piled on like it was the most widely known fact in the history of man. I guess it isn't. :)

Gentile's is terrific (though nobody's going to like a food poisoning experience). L'Adour's great, bc is very good, Bistro Elephant is nice. Phoebe's is solid, and is an easy 15-minute walk from the Dome.

Very good. They've been doing some special price fixed menus and pairing nights with beer and scotch.
I like it... but I do think its over priced. I first went there after taste of syracuse... clearly nothing was standing out at ToS

Very overpriced I agree. Another good place for lighter fare is Lacy's tapas bar which is by Gentiles. They usually have great beers on tap as well.

Lacys is my brothers favorite hidden gem in cuse.

Saw a fast moving thread and I had to read the whole thing to see if John Syracuse was posting in here.

I'm fond of the Fish Cove, went all the time as a kid so if it's bad now don't blame me.

I honestly could go on all day about local restaurants..should we make another thread about this like the Bernie fine thread? Haha JK.

Do you remember Caesar's Pizza, or was it a different Fish Cove?

Will be coming up from CT for the Florida game tomorrow. I usually try to get to the Dome for a game or two each year. Was able to score a couple of tickets in sec 114 on the endline. Really psyched...should be a great game. Can anyone suggest a nice place for dinner (aside from Dinosaur or Danzers)? Thanks.

Asti's is a great Italian restaurant. Have eaten there many times recently. Here is link. http://www.asticaffe.com/

I was too young, only places I remember as a kid were Fish Cove, Smorol's, Gregorio's, all that side of town.

Thanks for all the suggestions...lots of good places.
