I'd rather have AJ Long at QB. I'm not joking
He really should have had two or three more picks. What scares me is SMU will have plenty of film to watch too.Collins was "target fixated" on his primary receiver, and never looked off the safety.
He'll have plenty of film to watch this week.

Neither do I. We were clearly counting on a higher powered offense. Need to to switch things up. Staff has shown a willingness to adjust in the past. We will see what happens next week. They’ve yet to lose two in a row. They tend to rally under Fran. Our defense just isn't good enough.
under Fran, we've outscored teams. Last year we scored over 30 points in every win but one. We only held 2 teams to under 20 points and one of them was Holy Cross. Our defense is consistently bad and occasionally ok. I don't believe Collins is capable of running a 30 plus point offense.
I don’t think game #6 is when you just give it a go with a freshman QB. Collins is likely the starter the rest of the way, IMHO. Unless several games go by and he becomes unplayable. We haven’t really seen carney or Williams play. It’s absolutely worth giving it a go with either guy.

Cut the knees and aim for the head, And I have no idea what you're talking about nor insinuating. I know what I saw failed to mention concerning knee shots earlier. I am fully aware of tackle drills and proper form. By the way that was not targeting He did however go for his head/ neck. It is football however. I trust we will not forget this game when we meet them again ever. Really good football team, Real dirty though for sure. Typically don't mix.they eliminate the crown of the helmet/ launching contact (makes sense for both players ) and now you want to take away shoulder tackling ? how bout we give them all velcro flags to pull off. if a dude is changing angles and going to the ground there is going to be some helmet contact at some point. do you honestly believe any contact to the helmet is automatic targeting ?
Couple of months ago? They were calling for Collins during the UCONN game.Who gives a sh$t that some fans thought a couple months ago that Collins was going to be better than Angeli or was going to be good enough?
I don’t understand why it’s popular with some people to give ‘I told you so’ takes.
It doesn’t matter.

CDRW is exactly who he looked like out there. And it's been a very long time since I've seen a qb just fumble the ball untouched in a perfect weather dome when attempting to drop back and throwWell it looks like those fears of Rickie being CDRW 2.0 came true. Haven't seen this bad QB play since the Grob era.
I didn’t know, like almost everyone else.Found the guy who thought Collins was going to be better
Was just messing with you I have no idea if you did or not.I didn’t know, like almost everyone else.
For that reason, i don’t post idiotic statements about how this current problem was predictable.
It really doesn’t. We can’t play Steve Angeli anymore this season. Rickie Collins is the QB. We are a 3-2, 1-1 football team. Let’s rally around the guy and hope he improves each game unless coaches decide otherwise (Carney time). I knew it would be a learning curve, I hoped our defense and run game would compensate especially today. Although admittedly, perhaps the learning curve is a little larger than I thought it would be. I was impressed with his arm, perhaps now that he has a full start under his belt, he becomes more encouraged to improve and work through feedback than get less discouraged. FWIW, while I can see why Angeli won the job (his floor is much higher than Rickie’s) there was some moments in the game that made me feel at times that his ceiling is higher. Those moments were short lived, but if you can see what went right in those moments and work to made it more consistent we may have something in this QB. The ceiling and floor discussion though won’t matter soon enough because at some point you just have to accept what a QB is. It’s still too early to make judgements on Rickie though.Who gives a sh$t that some fans thought a couple months ago that Collins was going to be better than Angeli or was going to be good enough?

Because some posters whole schtick is to constantly talk about how dumb the board is.Who gives a sh$t that some fans thought a couple months ago that Collins was going to be better than Angeli or was going to be good enough?

You don't make a change. Let him play next week. If they decide to make a change after that you have the bye week to do it.
