We actually beat Pitt with Valari at quarterback. You never know
I don’t get it.Fran What are we doing here man? Are you trying to win or no. Like seriously. I’m mind blown by this
He wants to stay here, so he’s tanking the season.Fran What are we doing here man? Are you trying to win or no. Like seriously. I’m mind blown by this

i would rather he gets the full game than having him inserted in a desperate situation. let him have his own game with his own success or failures and not trying to right a sinking ship.Assuming Carney plays, it gives him a better chance to play well saying that Collins will start.
I agree. Note that I didn't say Collins has to start. Just that saying Collins will start probably helps Carney a little.i would rather he gets the full game than having him inserted in a desperate situation. let him have his own game with his own success or failures and not trying to right a sinking ship.
Narduzzi is still wondering who the heck is the tight end playing quarterback. That and why can’t I coach Ped state. Pitt just won a huge game and take us for UConnI agree. Note that I didn't say Collins has to start. Just that saying Collins will start probably helps Carney a little.
Narduzzi probably prepared for both but who knows. The Nard Dog is unpredictable.
I'd be fine with the freshman Fab Melo treatment for Collins.I agree. Note that I didn't say Collins has to start. Just that saying Collins will start probably helps Carney a little.

Narduzzi is a very good coach. He will always prepare wellNarduzzi is still wondering who the heck is the tight end playing quarterback. That and why can’t I coach Ped state. Pitt just won a huge game and take us for UConn
Because Fran himself made a big deal of how he is loyal to his starting QB. Granted he was referring to Angeli at the time, but so far nothing seems to indicate a change in that regard. Why is everyone assuming we know what Fran will do? Beyond starting the Pitt game he’s made no declarations.
What is the upside to disclosing his thinking except to throw red meat to a frustrated fanbase? It’s less pressure on both QB’s if status quo is the official word.
We are all frustrated let’s just take a deep breath and see how things play out this weekend.
Nobody said anything about a conspiracy.Or maybe it isn't a strange conspiracy, and the coaches know that Carney isn't quite ready. Yet.
Sometimes the simplest explanation is more realistic than throwing at the wall while crossing fingers.
I'm a huge proponent of Carney, but who knows at this point if he's ready?

Ok but that was about Angeli when he knew the gap between 1 & 2 and we didn’t.Because Fran himself made a big deal of how he is loyal to his starting QB. Granted he was referring to Angeli at the time, but so far nothing seems to indicate a change in that regard.

But as stated by multiple people we don’t know about Carney, but we have seen Collins. If Collins can turn it around, then great.
I get that Carney may not be ready also. But loyalty is straight from Fran’s mouth, I don’t think it gets any simpler than that. It could be the right play though, hopefully it is.I get it.
But I keep hearing things thrown around like "loyalty," when I think it might just come down to a simpler explanation of Carney not being as ready right now, at this stage of his developmental curve, as Collins.
Doesn't mean that in another year he won't surpass him, or that his long-term potential might exceed Collins. But the coaches see these guys every day in practice.
I agree 100% that whatever "it" is, Collins doesn't have it. He still might be our best option to win three games.
My friend who is a die hard Pitt fan would like a word.Narduzzi is a very good coach. He will always prepare well
I think it’s less about loyalty and making sure they’re giving him the right opportunities to succeed based on his natural skill level. I assume they must see something in practice and film review that gives them confidence he can improve. It obviously hasn’t translated to games yet.I get that Carney may not be ready also.
