He is always smiling. Seems like a really joyful kid. If he can learn quickly, he will be a lot of fun to watch.I liked Colin’s responses post game. Seems like a kid team will rally behind. If he can make good decisions and hit throws down the field he will be fine. Nice to have a kid of Luke’s ability as the 2 now also.
Great post budIn the spirit of full disclosure, I was crushed when Steve went down. Have not been that deflated after a big win in a very long time.
It would certainly seem like our passing game will take a hit but let's see what Rickie can do. Like many, I am concerned. That is mostly due to the unknown plus what we have seen. Still, Rickie had a nice TD drive when he came in.
I was very impressed with how Rickie handled not being QB#1. He was very supportive of Steve, he was classy, he was team-first. He emphasized continuing to improve and being ready in case he was called upon to help the team. That is what a solid teammate does. That is also what a true leader does.
So, I'm all-in on Team Rickie. It is his opportunity, and I hope he comes out blazing. Will he be successful? We all hope so. He may not be and that is yet to be determined. Until such time, he deserves to have the fan base behind him. I'm behind him and I am sure the team is as well.
I think some of us have PCdRWTSD:As sad as I am that Angeli got hurt, I'm very surprised with the negativity about Collins. We have the greatest depth at QB in recent memory and coaches that get that football is a team game. We have multiple highly regarded players in our QB room even with Angeli out. It wasn't long ago that we had no real QB, no depth on the line, and receivers that had trouble getting separation. This will be a busy week for the coaches to scheme for Collins, but we beat Clemson playing "complimentary" football, a term I'm liking. Rickie won't be out there alone and brings significant skills. We actually have a next man up at QB, and a next man up after him. We also have coaches that will put Rickie in a position to succeed. I was nervous yesterday until the end, but mainly about Clemson's abilities, not ours. DART is real. We don't play in a vacuum and talented opposing teams may well beat us, but i have more confidence in our ability to compete with good teams than I've had in a generation. Enjoy the moment...
