In the late 50’s Roger, and I believe Bob Yates, came to spend some time in gym classes at Park Hill elementary school in East Syracuse.

They made a lasting impression on at least one young student that day.

I think any knowledgeable Syracuse football fan would put Roger on their all-time Syracuse team.

One of our greatest offensive linemen. Perhaps our best ever.

I think he would be happy to see us recruiting northeast Ohio hard again.

RIP Roger.

Perhaps the most underrated player in SU Football history.

Found this online in our local Facebook group. Hard to believe Ben was here as well as George Allen. And the local high school band playing Down the Field.

Before my time, obviously, but I recall Roger being honored on a Solon Football All-Time team on a Friday night, circa 2006, which would have been 50 years after he graduated from Solon.
