Wow, theres a lot of hate there.

I'm not clicking onto that site, what does it say?
a sampling:

A putrid Syracuse and the Trojans has zero national interest. Syracuse was the worst attended game in the Col. last year. Even thir fans didnt care. You couldn't give tickets away.
----
LOL...sellout.

Who the hell would pre purchase tickets to this? Get em from the boy scouts for 10 bucks
----
Cuse bags might get 30,000 for this Game... 10,000 of those will be USC fans. Off to the ACC and don't let the door hit your arse on the way out.

And how many of the thirty-five Rutgers fans would give their left nut to be going to the ACC rather than being stuck in the Sun Beast?

Rutgers fans are always full of Sh$t but the attendance for this game isnt going to be great everything else is the typical Rutgers nonsense. My favorite post is the one guy who tries to rationalize how Rutgers playing Howard at home the same day is somehow a better game, freeking delusional.

Rutgers-FIU a couple of years ago in Miami. Camera panned the crowd and there was a section of elderly men wearing ill fitting Rutgers t-shirts. Give-aways to retirees to make it look like the R had a following down there. Most of the guys they showed were nodding off, asleep I guess . . . maybe worse . . . .

It might be better just in the sense that its a toss up as to who is gonna win

From the fans at a school that drew flies to see a bowl game 45 minutes from campus?

Yeah, why do you guys ever read their site. Weird.

I only went for the schadenfreude when we announced for the ACC.

Haha. There is no way in Oswego that the doors hits us on the way out. We will be going through the revolving door of the BE so fast that we may actually suck somebody else into the door frame.

the thread on the ru board "anyone want to buy a house near the stadium" is a must read. it is hysterical, posters taking schianos truisms and describing his house sale. i gotta admit they have a creative sense of humor.

I hear every room is heated by a wood burning stove. Requires a lot of wood chopping. Eh, my heart isn't in it.

c'mon, it will brighten your day, very humorous take a minute ,there are some great one liners in there

There's a lot of self-delusion among Rutgers fans.

Because they spent all that money on the stadium expansion, they had to pass on a series with ND in which their home games would have to be played away from campus. They have deluded themselves into believing this wasn't the reason they couldn't schedule that package of games.

When they see SU doing what they cannot afford to do, it drives them a little crazy or crazier.

They have been stunned that in two ACC expansions, a Big 10 expansion and a Big 12 expansion involving 6 Big East teams that their name hasn't been called. They have deluded themselves into believing that the number of TV sets close to New Brunswick is the most important factor that conferences should consider in adding schools. That's now been proven wrong six times, but they sti cling to it as a belief.

Trying to establish college football in New Jersey is a fool's errand. It's like planting palm trees in the Arctic.

The Yankee Stadium signage will drive them over the edge. LOL

Summed it up beautifully as usual. Spot on.

LOL every SU thread over there as Graydork, NotinRhouse, and AreYounuts blastign anyone that dare post something positive about SU. Those three are so pissed Syracuse is ACC bound, has a basketball team that actually wins games, and schedules actual D1A opponents for football. Talk about obssessed, what a bunch of haters.

expansion is not over, they will eventually land in either acc,big 10,or big12.the new big east is a house of cards

I tend to disagree with you (but not totally)...however, I think the Big12 will be the next and possibly final move for the next few years. If they add Louisville and BYU that is probably our best possible outcome (for our perspective). The 5 Big Boy Conferences will be between 12-14 teams. There just might be a halt for a few years as they digest their conquests. This will give time for Notre Dame to reassess their "lot in life" associating with their new BFF's.

The Big East will be stuck in same spot...kinda Big Boy but not really. The Mid-Major Mega Alliance will nip at the BE heels and will pick up a discounted TV contract by NBC, CBS or FOX looking for cheap filler. The Big East might respond by doing nothing (if Louisville leaves) or might add ECU.

Best realistic outcome for the ACC would be to add Notre Dame and WVU but I think Notre Dame and UConn would be a fine addition. Would the B10 take Rutgers? Hmmm maybe, maybe not.

mark, i think ru fits the big 10 profile other than a smaller venue, which is more alligned with the acc. who knows maybe acc takes ru---i hope not

95% of ND's revenue comes from football. And it's a lot. They aren't joining a conference unless they find it impossible to put together a quality schedule.
